Netflix will save i- Oh.Netflix has opted not to renew pot-themed comedy series Disjointed starring Kathy Bates for a second season. The multi-camera workplace sitcom hailed from comedy heavyweight Chuck Lorre and former Daily Show head writer David Javerbaum and Warner Bros. TV. The studio is expected to explore shopping the series elsewhere.
It's taken awhile but NBC has given a second-season renewal to supernatural drama Midnight, Texas, which launched this past summer.
There will be a change at the helm of the series, from Universal Television and David Janollari Entertainment. Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder, who served as consulting producers on Season 1 under their overall deal at Uni TV, have been named executive producers and showrunners. They will succeed Monica Owusu-Breen who wrote the pilot and served as showrunner on Season 1. She is leaving to focus on other projects.
Additionally, two cast members from Season 1, Sarah Ramos and Yul Vazquez, will not be coming back as series regulars. The hope is for them to appear as guest stars, reprising their characters. Such cast trims are considered standard procedure when shows' budgets are trimmed for renewal.
Yeah, still the same production company as when it was announced but no mention of the BBC or Thorne as in the 2016 announcement.
Dude is insane, stuff he wrote in addition to what you mentioned: Wonder, an episode of Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams, he's been announced as the screenwriter for four upcoming films (The Aeronauts, The Secret Garden, Radioactive: Marie & Pierre Curie: A Tale of Love and Fallout, and a unnamed Yusra Mardini biopic), and he's working on another TV series (The Virtues) with Shane Meadows (known for This is England)
lol. I had actually forgotten about the Curie film.
I really hope it's his version though. He's such a good writer.
I gave up on context for my post on those two once I realized that I hadn't heard of either of them.edit: dammit Cornballer at least I had more context in my post
I almost had that done to me too! I hate it when reviews do that. They should space them out at the very least. Give us viewers like a week or two to watch all the episodes.Gotta keep up with all the people watching it, and the critics, or you get spoiled.
I had the ending of One Day at a Time spoiled for me in a review that came out literally three days after Netflix dropped it. lol
The CW is expanding to Sunday nights in the 2018-2019 season.

It's a interesting move. They see weakness in the NFL ratings and with that atnt money coming, everybody saying go for it.Awesome, I hope this means shows like CXG, JtV, Dynasty, and iZombie have a higher chance of returning.
Weekly episodes is clearly the superior method of content delivery. I love having a variety of shows to watch every week and find that Netflix/Amazon shows that I watch quickly kind of blur together and don't really stick with me.
Re: CW expanding taking Sundays back from the affiliates--give me six nights of DC shows week please Pedowitz, you know you want to.
I couldn't disagree with this more. Weekly episodes is clearly the superior method of content delivery. I love having a variety of shows to watch every week and find that Netflix/Amazon shows that I watch quickly kind of blur together and don't really stick with me.
It's a Valentine's day Miracle! (well, depending on your timezone)I remember your posts going as far back as the Dollhouse threads on GAF.
And this is the first time I've ever agreed with you.
I'm buying you flowers.
I saw the other day that Mike Royce is one of the co-creators. I enjoyed MOACA (men of a certain age) a ton. Is this in the same vein, i.e. a character-driven story focusing on people's everyday true to life issues? The laugh track was the main thing I was hesitant about. For anyone in TVEra that hasn't given One Day at a Time a shot, I highly recommend it.
Also the co-creator is begging people to watch four episodes in the next few days. https://decider.com/2018/02/14/one-day-at-a-time-co-creator-please-watch-and-tell-your-friends/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site buttons&utm_campaign=site buttons
If Netflix doesn't renew it for a third season... ;_;
I already finished the second season but I can have it on in the background again. For anyone in TVEra that hasn't given One Day at a Time a shot, I highly recommend it.

It's definitely that, an issue an episode that is driven by the characters and their viewpoints. A few of them can be a little hamfisted or don't work as well as some of the others can, but the characters and their heartfelt performances make up for that laugh track and the back to basics format that the show has. It's much better than I thought it would be.

Nah for Supergirl that was due to production issuesAll this cramming this year has pushed Supergirl deep into the summer slot, and I know other shows have suffered similar fates.
Oh for sure yeah, it's an overstuffed year, but that meant stuff like Legends was ready in case of scheduling issues at leastOh okay. Well something would have had to give though, right? Whether it be Dynasty, Legends, etc.
Perferct time to finally make that Hellblazer show :)I for one am looking forward superhero show #6 on Sunday nights.

Netflix acquired the rights to stream the show and distributed the first part of the season on their streaming service on 25 December worldwide.[3] It is only on Netflix Spain that both parts are available to stream.[1] However instead of retaining the original number of nine episodes and the 70 minute runtime of each episode in the season, it was cut into 13 different untitled episodes. Each of the episodes has been limited to 40–50 minutes in length.[4]
I have question and apologies if it has been answered before.
I just saw Money Heist (La casa de papel) is on Netflix now. I remember reading good things about it so I added to my list to check it out. Then I luckily landed up on the wiki page for the show and saw this
So... is the season actually complete outside Netflix Spain? Can't really from this paragraph.
I decided to throw it on in the background last night while I was doing other stuff and ended up watching half the first season, woke up this morning and finished it. It's way better than I thought it would be. Probably gonna start the second season later tonight. For anyone in TVEra that hasn't given One Day at a Time a shot, I highly recommend it.

HBO is developing Alex Gibney's cyberwarfare project Stuxnet (w/t) as a mini-series with Downton Abbey producer Carnival Films.
I hear the Time Warner-backed premium broadcaster is working up the project as a limited drama with Stephen Schiff (The Americans) writing, and documentary Gibney set to direct as well as produce alongside Marc Shmuger. Carnival Films, the British production company run by Gareth Neame that is part of NBCUniversal International Studios, is working with Participant Media on the series.
Stuxnet is based on Gibney's cyberwarfare documentary Zero Days, which came out in 2016, and is the first time that the complete story of the phenomenon was captured on film.
The dramatic thriller will focus on the spread of a self-replicating computer virus developed by the West to disable and destroy nuclear facilities in the Middle East.
The drama will tell a tale of hackers, spies, nuclear secrets, and how one clandestine mission opens the Pandora's Box of cyber-warfare forever – a new era of global conflict without rules.
I believe this is the first celebrity edition to be aired in the US. I would've been watching it if I hadn't completely forgot when it started and heard that they were truncating the season. Big Brother is a total guilty pleasure.Wednesday night's ratings. Why are people watching Big Brother? Is Omarosa that big of a draw?:
BB viewer here. No actually, Omarosa is probably one of the most boring personalities on that show. She's there for PR purposes so she hasn't caused any drama and she's been nice to everyone.Wednesday night's ratings. Why are people watching Big Brother? Is Omarosa that big of a draw?:
It's still watchable. Finale is next Sunday but they've only evicted two people so far.I believe this is the first celebrity edition to be aired in the US. TNT has picked up to series suspense drama pilot Deadlier Than The Male (working title), starring Lily Rabe, Amy Brenneman and Hamish Linklater and produced by Bruna Papandrea's Made Up Stories and Turner's Studio T.
Created and written by Harriet Warner (Call the Midwife), Deadlier Than The Male is described as an intense, morally complex thriller. It centers on a trio of characters each with a mysterious and troubling past, including Emma (Rabe), a young woman who once looked into the eyes of a dangerous killer, John (Linklater), a former serial predator desperate to find redemption and Mary (Brenneman), a grieving mother obsessed with finding her missing daughter. As each of them is pushed to the edge, the truth about their pasts and motives grows ever murkier, blurring the lines between victim and perpetrator.
It's surprising good given how unapologetically 80s it feels. I watched a few episodes of the original and a lot of the beats are the same. Except Canadian Schneider is not a creep and there isn't a man constantly pining over the main charactr.I decided to throw it on in the background last night while I was doing other stuff and ended up watching half the first season, woke up this morning and finished it. It's way better than I thought it would be. Probably gonna start the second season later tonight.
They have renewed all their shows for a second season so far, then again this isn't uncommon with new players (see: Epix renewing everything for second seasons). If things get picked up for third seasons then we're talking (and I suspect that at least Star Trek and Good Fight will).I just read that CBS All Access renewed their comedy series No Activity for a second season. Has CBS All Access cancelled ANYTHING? I thought for sure that show would get cancelled since the premise is two best friends being cops on a stakeout and nothing happens, just talking in a car waiting for something to happen.
Would be a crying shame if this got cancelled, is funny and does a great job at talking some very serious subjects. I really love this show. For anyone in TVEra that hasn't given One Day at a Time a shot, I highly recommend it.

Don't see why that's weird when they've only run three original scripted series so far.I just read that CBS All Access renewed their comedy series No Activity for a second season. Has CBS All Access cancelled ANYTHING?
So will RatskyWatsky be once he stops being a chicken and just commits to watching the entirety of The Good Wife. It's only 156 episodes, you can do it Rats!
