There are stones in the arena, several piles.
They need to make those hero stones drop from any 50+ monsters though.
yeah not a fan of Vaal, very cheap fight. It's like fighting a great jagras with a bigger hp and cheap gimmicks.Vaal is officially my worst enemy of MHW. Seriously, fuck his spew diseases. >:|
It still makes me laugh every time I do it. Chasing a poor limping Nerg with 1000 sprinting Lance Dash pokes cracks me up. Same with dashing into downed monsters and just racking up hits because the game won't allow you to pass through them.

Yeah at a certain point this game is clearly a dead end. Make no mistake it's a great game, 80 hours or so it's been a wild ride. But when you get to the point where it's "uh just kill stronger versions of these same dragons" I think I'm done.
The biggest problem I have with the end-game is that they're forcing you to farm Elder Dragons so that you can upgrade/minmax your equipment for...the same Elder Dragons you've been beating over and over again.
Vaal actually the only Elder Dragons that managed to cart me, thanks to the HP-halving breath (even with Health Boost 3 skill) and the beam. Anyway learned that Effluvia Resistance skill basically nullify his HP-halving abilities.

Is this game really as good as people are saying about getting mew players in? I really wanted to like MH4 and put a good amount of hours into it, but I couldn't break the feeling of not knowing wtf I was doing
I spent yesterday making 20 different gear loadouts so I don't have to keep moving my jewels around anymore, and Kirin is the only build VASTLY different from the other builds. I stack Thunder Res so fucking hard for that fight.Earlier I said I would beat that damn Tempered Kirin and I did just that. No help. Just me, him, a worthless palico, and a long sword. Kirin truly is the boss of the game.
72 hours in, I think I'm putting the game to the side for now. I definitely got my money's worth and the ride was enjoyable with all of you, I just don't have that carrot-on-stick anymore that kept me gripped during the main story.
Yeah same here. Farming stronger elder dragons to make armor to farm them more doesn't motivate me. Neither does crown farming.
Same. I threw affinity, attack boost, critboost out the window In favor of a pure defense and thunder resist loadout. Something has to make this fight easier...I spent yesterday making 20 different gear loadouts so I don't have to keep moving my jewels around anymore, and Kirin is the only build VASTLY different from the other builds. Figured. And you also can stop his beam with a flash pod, but unfortunately you have to be in a perfect timing to take a shot at his mouth or face. :\ (Tried it on his back and it didn't work, only sometimes he starts dizziness and that's about it.)
Damn Nergi's tail drop is abysmal, broken it over 10 times and nothing but I've gotten 3 gems so far. I just want two damn Tails Nergi stop holding out.

Ffs.. don't go crying about not being able to slay Kirin if you refuse to eat before the mission. Some of these players on here.
That's not how flash pods work. The flash just needs to explode in front of them. They have to be looking at it. Where it is doesn't matter as long as it's in close proximity. Just shoot it at the ground in the general area in front of any monster and it flashes them. You're not supposed to be hitting the monster with flash podsFigured. The 3 elder dragons and then 1 more quest is the end of the story. Are there many main "story" quests left after the 3 elder dragon ones? Finished the wind dragon one already.
Varies by rarity, but generally it allows you to upgrade all the HR armor to ~90 defense. Gets very expensive to do that though. 100k+ zenny and a ton of armor spheres per pieceDoes unlocking the armor cap make it so that armor with lower stats are more viable? What's the new cap after unlocking?
The on against 5 enemies is good for farming gold crowns for those 5Any of the events this week worth doing? The decoration farm last week was pretty cool
It's interesting how the mood has changed in this thread.
I'm in the same boat, came here to complain that I don't really have any reason to play after beating Xeno'whatshisname. I mean, 87+ hours on a single game in a span of just 3 weeks (some have 200h, which is mindblowing to me), it's probably just a burn out.
I LOVE this game. It's my first MH and I had amazing time with it. There is simply no more carrot for me to chase. Sure, I can eventually craft that lvl8 weapons, but for what? So that I can beat Nergigante in 10 minutes instead of 25? Nah, I think I'll pass on that.
I really hope they would additionally differentiate weapon tiers in future versions. Extra combos, extra anything, but please make lvl8 hammer FEEL more powerful than the base one.
I will surely be there for MHW2 or whatever they call it. I will also gladly play next handheld one (with current sensibilities built-in).

At this point I'm just helping others with Nerg, and I keep getting gems. I'm at like, 6-7 gems now. It's ludicrous.Hah, I have seven tails and no gems. I get a tail every single time.
