A tweet reminded me of this thought I had while watching the direct, since apparently I wasn't the only one. While watching the Mario Tennis part, I was thinking to myself "Did they turn this shit into a fighting game?"
I want to believe that Sakurai will try to unite the fanbase...OMG don't even say that.
I'm hoping the new game is so great(?) that even the Melee crowd plays it. Only one Smash game at EVO, can you imagine? That would be amazing.

Where's this?
doubles tennis, sure, but no gameplay for smash
Oh, lol. I forgot Smash also has doubles, sorry.
you're lucky i already knew the joke was coming :P
Lmao this, started playing the game with MM and didn't notice it, switched to Sonic and dropped the game. ;pFor me it's dash dancing and lagless landings. I don't want L canceling, though. Oh, and I want momentum to carry over to jumps again. What a dumb change.
I think that's a character issue, not a system one.Does anyone else have issue with input buffering in Smash 4? That's one of the things I want changed.
My character has turned around accidentally so many times because of that (like when you jump, drift back, but were holding the stick back when your character is about to touch the ground, and your character turns around when they land). I don't know the frame details, but that input buffering window felt really long and I'd always get moves accidentally coming out because I was inputting something like 10-20 frames before.
I just want the next Smash to feel "in real-time" and responsive.
Damn, for a minute I thought I had read posts in a completely different thread and was not able to find it again lolUhh... I was definitely talking about Mario Tennis lol
*edit*
Oh, the confusion is with Beef

"i had an easier time here than i did fighting valle in the 90s"
It's strange how Tokido crying has caused more twitter drama. I see Logan bashing Tokido or the Japanese in general for being arrogant because he showed more emotion in this lost to Daigo then his lost at Capcom Cup and I see Mena saying people gotta stop worshiping players from certain regions(Japan pretty much) to help grow the scene all over the world.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHeD3SZakGgWait, there was a Daigo v Tokido exhibition?
Where can I see it?
Jwong must be bored with Dragonbahl cuz he's streaming nothing but SFV these days
he hardly ever streams, but he's been listed as playing SFV for a lil while now on my twitch feedI literally haven't seen him play it once. A Youtube search yielded no hits.
He has to eat though.Justin hasn't done much when it comes to actual competing these days. But he's done so much for his legacy he really has nothing else to prove other than being able to hang with the modern players.
gon avoid the obvious joke here

7th in a Canadian DBFZ tournament! Guess he isn't competing in DBFZ!Over here in Toronto he's at Canada East Championships 5. He won SFV last night and finished top 8 in DBFZ.
In case any VF Fans here are interested, Sydney's monthly YSB#58 was yesterday and we had a 14 man tournament:
Tournament starts at 24m 30s.
Some really close matches, good mix of newer and more experienced players.
Check out the channel for a LOT of other tournament footage too, 15 tournaments were run all up!
