Try to find a Discord server or Facebook group for your area. That's really the only way you can reliably participate in Legendary raids, unless you live in like Tokyo or something.

got a 96 ray go with my 98. neither of which have 15 atk. i shouldn't feel too bad as my dual 98 hp+def raikous have been putting in a lot of work lately

I completed my dex by getting the whale! 362 caught with 364 seen (Tauros and Tropius in Gyms)

Yeah still 8 regular Pokémon left, they have out of the ordinary mechanics for their appearance or evolutions which seems to be why they aren't out yet.
Given how much time I've been at work (pretty much go home just to eat and pass out) I think I've done all I can for hatching during this event, which was only two full batches. I went from one Bagon to just barely being able to evolve a Salamence, nothing else of note. I still have three 10km and four 5km eggs that I'll almost certainly end up hatching another time, so maybe I'll end up with more than one Beldum yet.
Work also kept me from going out and nabbing a lvl 35 100% Ralts earlier this week.

With the event now ended. I ending up gaining 2.6 million xp and hatched 50 eggs! I've also hatched like 5 (+1 more for pre-event eggs) Bagons too. Still got 4 10k eggs to hatch after this. With that I'm now 900k away from lv 40! The home stretch.
Frenzy Plant is the grass equivalent of Hyper Beam in the games. It's just weird it's two bars lol

Since Lugia is one of my favs I went ahead and spent real money for only about the third time ever. Bought 15 raid passes thinking the shiny rate would be pretty high after reading around Twitter and Reddit seeing people with multiple shiny Lugia's already.
I've done 14 raids and have only got 1 shiny.
Oh, well. I'm sure I'll get another before he leaves in a couple weeks. At least I got one. My first Mewtwo raid this afternoon as well.

Got a shiny Lugia today and like a fool I golden Raspberried it.
Ugly scenes at my friends raid where a young boy got a shiny and got called a cunt repeatedly by some tragic guy who thought he was being funny.

Did 4 Lugia raids following my EX Raid. I saw at least three people get a shiny between all my raids.
I didn't get one, but I was able to at least catch two out of four regular ones. I had a 2050 CP run away which kind of sucked, especially because I had 12 balls (which is well above average for me).
I won't be powering up Lugia, though, and a shiny is just a nice trophy. I'm not dedicated enough to actually aim for it, though. I almost never use coins to get passes, so today was an exception.
If I don't get Shiny Lugia with free Passes, then I'll accept that.

Got my Mewtwo as well. Nice to finally get one even if he's got poor IV's. All in all, a good PoGo week for me. Mewtwo + shiny Lugia today, finally caught a shiny Sableye on Thursday. One of the regular Lugia's I caught today is a 98% as well.
