Just got mine, excited to finally play Wolfenstein. Once Witcher 3 gets patched I might finally play the game to completion.

Yeah, even though it doesn't say it anywhere on the paper it only works for new customers. So if you already did the 14 day test you're out of luck. There is a workaround: Create a new gamertag, set your console to its home console. Then use your mobile phone (for some reason it did not work from my home network, I think they might check if that IP has already had the game pass in addition to the gamertag) and activate it through your browser. Worked for me, now I can use all the game pass games with my primary gamertag.

This is all good fun - I have been in live chat with their customer support for awhile - they told me "For these issues we do not have an option to issue any compensation, there are chances that we will sent mass e-mail to the customers regarding the compensation we are going to issue for those who faced this delay in dispatch but I cannot assure about it now, if there is anything like that you will be updated via e-mail, so we cannot issue any compensations."

I gave up with my Amazon UK order and picked one up locally.

Actually your X is going to generate some serious heat (although it's also got some serious cooling that's pretty impressive) so I don't think there's any harm in just warming up that bad boy by plugging it in and getting at some gaming! Can't wait for mine to arrive.
AC Origins is a must play imo on the new Xbox. It looks so great. The draw distance is also great and quote sharp zoomed in at a distance.
They may be worried about condensation. I wouldn't chance it either if it have been sitting in freezing temperatures and I brought it into a warm room.
USPS just delivered my X's, setting it up downloading games and playing other games. Man this thing is quiet and dense so good.

I will probably go for performance every time. I will however take a look at quality mode.
I was tempted to get an XOX to sit alongside my PRO but the lack of exclusives means I really cannot justify it.

Yep, that was it. Settings on the Xbox recognized that hdr was capable and when I opened the insects demo, the TV displayed the Hdr symbol on the upper right, so everything is good to go now.
Why is there no option to take screenshots at 1080p when outputting at 4K?
Blame the marketing department of hard disk manufacturers. They measure using steps of 1000 instead of 1024. Thanks to that a 1TB hard drive is actually only ~931GB.
I'm in the same boat as you, except I'm actually actively trying to sell my ps4 slim and just be a Switch/3ds gamer
I'm glad MS is pushing better hardware out and taking the time to go back and update older games, but there's nothing coming out on Xbox or ps4 (besides rdr2 and last of us 2)that I want in the future.
I got burned on the x1 with the mcc and bad quality releases(lets not start that talk again, i was actually banned from the previous forum for it). But it's great to see what Phil is doing with the Xbox brand and great to see MS as the most powerful console once again.

Just want to say that the folks at Gamestop were great. Called them about the issue, Manager put me on hold for about 2 minutes and said come on down. When I arrived he said that he was having one transferred from another store to cover the Scorpio one he was giving me. He said the person that had that one was not picking it up till after 5pm and he had 4 more coming from other Stores.
To ensure that nothing funky was going on with my external 8tb drive, I hooked up the "S" again and all my games were present and accounted for. 33 Xbox One Enhanced games were showing, but on the my "X" that I took back only about 25 or so were showing, the others were defaulting to install...so to ensure before I hooked up the newer unit I tested the "S" and all games were accounted for. The newer unit has already passed the issues my previous one had and that was after you turn it on and then it tells you to hit the guide button followed by the "A" button and when you get the part where it says to "start update" my controller was non-responsive. The controller was on, but just would not register any inputs. Removing batteries and reinserting worked but then 10 min later it happened again and I switched to regular batteries and the regular play and charge rechargeable and it worked for another 10 min and stopped again...then there was the issue of it not reading all my games.
Anyways, the new one no issues thus far. As mentioned, with all electronics there are bound to be some duds, I think the high impact hole that mine had was probably something that may have caused an issue perhaps. But I would not worry as there have been a ton of these sold and only a handful of reported issues.

Target is a little late, but for placing the order November 2nd I guess I can't be mad. They refunded me the $15 one day shipping too.
Has the Forza Horizon 3 4k patch dropped yet? Is there a place to find out the dates when the 4k patches for all games will drop?

Hard drive sizes are never what they say they are on the box. There is a standard and system reserve space that saps the size.
Every time I try to take a screenshot in Assassin's Creed Origins the game crashes.
It's perfect for 1080p users, too. The middle of that flower near the end shows the 4k upgrade pretty good.
That is a beautiful looking console and controller. I initially didnt like the project scorpio graphic, but it does look awesome!Picture time! Who knows when it will be until another console launch!

Open-world frame-rate is much more dependent on CPU. Wouldn't hold your breath for 60 FPS. Looking forward to the patch though, the game is already a stunner.
Playing now straight for 6 hours Origins. The console makes slight constant fan noise. Nothing bad. Just abit like a laptop makes. Doesnt go up or down like crazy.
Heat seems fine also. On top and at the back are warm but not hot. So seems like the cooling is working fine. Console is place on top of a table with alot of room arround it and i am located 1 meter from it.

Because it does patches at the same time i believe. Thats why alot of people iirc disconnect to console from internet and install the game and do the patches after that. Seems to go faster.
I believe they are offering extra for a console trade in towards the X.
I've gone pretty much full digital and if you plan on doing the same I'd recommend 4TB or higher.
These games are getting HUGE.
