Is this country rap guy Outlaw for real or is it just a spoof on the whole cross genre thing. Shit is trash.

Blikxy, Drill, Broad day and Famlee are new to me and fire. Shower man, Intro(Video is awesome btw) Outru are bonkers. The rest of the tracks I heard on other mixtapes. Overall, love the album. Fucking Loski killed it. 2018 ya, DRILLAZ!
Ever since Toku posted Teddy Bruckshot video on the old site I've been a fan. Teddy Bruckshot was the best hip-hop video of 2017.

Now, I listen to nothing but hip-hop but I'm still unaware what this "drill" sound is.

It's interesting seeing someone like Alch, who's had decades of experience inside the 'machine' of major labels, opt to release his most recent projects exclusively through bandcamp instead of a 'proper' label or on any other streaming services.

Barbie Tingz and Chun Li sounded like throwaway tracks. Is Nicki really leading with those tracks in her next album? I miss her pinkprint days where almost all the songs were bangers

It might be more lucrative for him this way. Roc Marciano did talk about how some of his industry contacts peeped game after the commercial success of Rosebudd's Revenge 2.

I posted this interview a while back.
Roc Marciano's Anti-Streaming Release Strategy Is Paying Off

Roc Marciano's release strategy has not only proved successful, but influential. "After I put out [Rosebudd's Revenge], other people have been following suit," he says. "I've had other artists hit me up to tell me they doing the same—and then did it."

Alchemist prefers working with lesser known artists. He'll probably never be a household name which means he'll never be able to eat off streams.

Imagine having a Kanye & Beiber feature and choosing to keep that in the vault.

That's why it seems kinda telling to me. Alch isn't a household name, but he's had placements on huge albums, and hell, he's Eminems DJ - it's a guy who clearly knows the business, but he's opting to forgo Spotify, Apple Music etc for Bandcamp, which is the only major platform out there that takes a relatively small cut and lets artists interact with their audience with minimal intervention. It's almost like he realizes a streaming service doesn't really deserve 95% of the profits of his work for essentially providing server space. I'm doubtful it'll happen anytime soon, but it would be nice if the industry trended in this direction imo
