Avengers 4: My Dinner With Thanos

Just a tight 90 minutes of Tony and Thanos having an intimate conversation over dinner on the farm, at the end of which Tony convinces the titan he made a mistake and should use the time stone again to go back and prevent the snap. Roll credits, queue Phase 4.

Seeing the movie a second time I really caught all the hints doctor strange was dropping about the time Stone and the possible outcome.

1. Said he put a hex on it
2. Said it's tricky to remove a dead man's hex
3. Said giving up the stone was the only way
4. Said "we're in the end game now" right before dying.

I really think this is going to be key for the next movie. I don't see how all the deaths are reversed without the time Stone being reclaimed along with a second gauntlet being made with that mold we saw.

He said of millions of outcomes, there is only one where they win. Maybe that's what he meant. Maybe they're on the right path.

There was what seemed like a throwaway line from Shuri about using a particular neural network on Vision. If time travel is a thing you can bet that Vision's brain makeup will be so that he can just remove the stone.

My money goes to Avengers: Sunrise as the title.

So stoked for Captain Marvel finally showing up!

All I want in Infinity 4 is more combo moves. Bucky and Rocket doing the gun spin and Spidey and Dr. Strange doing portals was so much fun.

Avengers 4: Time War

one thing about the leaked set pics/story speculation I don't get: If all of the OG Avengers survived the snap, what's the purpose in going back in time to 'collect' them all?

Wait, hulk having major arc in avengers 4 carried over from thor ragnarok.... could we Finally see an introduction of Amadeus Cho and the possibility of Hulk being transferred to him somehow!?!?

Man, I can only hope so

That's totally how the A4 gimmick is going to happen.

I agree that I don't want Captain Marvel to just come and beat the shit out of Thanos, not because she's a woman, I wouldn't want that to happen even if it was Sentry or Hyperion. Would just feel like with Superman in JL.

She isn't needed anymore. Cap got a new beard this movie.

How does it feel to say something so controversial... yet so brave?

The theatre went wild when we saw Wakanda.

Mine got hype too. Then Thor coming back with Rocket & Groot was where audience members started clapping.

Wow guys, it sucks how they're never going to bring Spider-Man and Black Panther back

Oh well, at least we'll get the OG Avengers in another movie. Whenever Hawkeye shows up.

I was the only one in my theater after the stinger who knew what a Captain Marvel was. Maybe my favorite part of the whole movie though (says something)

id like this better if they were going to keep all the people that died dead. but they're not, so it's a cop out.

therefore i just rolled my eyed when spiderman was dying in tony's arms. didn't mean anything.

I had the same thing happen during the Howard the Duck cameoed in GotG. No one else responded while I just burst out laughing. The couple behind us was even listening in while I had to explain who he was to my friends because they thought they missed something.

Look at it another way: the people who were dusted are the ones guaranteed to survive to Phase 4.

It's not an accident that we know BP2, DS2, GOTG3, Homecoming 2 are all happening.

Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet is good, marketable, and links the 2 films together with the Infinity brand, but may be too similar to Infinity War and could cause slight confusion to the casual viewers. So I can't 100% believe its gonna be Infinity Gauntlet yet.

I wonder what Earth is gonna be like after Thanos won.

I could legitimately see Tony grappling with the fact that things are relatively more peaceful now even if the loss of life was devastating. That might even be what they fight about in the next film. Whether they SHOULD go back and change anything.

That was my first avengers movie. It was good.

I didn't realize that comedy was such a big thing in these movies. It was funny some of the time but the constant wit got annoying.

They won't but I'd so love them to touch on this a fair amount. A world for the most part at peace, who've experienced massive loss and now put aside petty shit. Except...Tony. A man angry and possessed in relation to his losses. A man so sure he was right, but lost all the same.

He becomes a man on a mission, almost Thanos like in his cause and belief. An angry vengeful Tony Vs. an at peace Thanos.

lmao

Would of been easier to kill off characters that wouldn't be having anymore standalone movies (Cap America, Iron Man, Thor ? etc)
Who would change the time? Thanos ? god im getting a headache thinking about this shit lol

Only movies between now and the next Avengers are Ant Man and the Wasp (set before and during this, I believe) and Captain Marvel (set 20+ years in the past). No need to kill them based on who gets movies after this one; the current state will be completely different by when Spidey gets his next movie a couple months after Avengers 4. Speaking of which...

So something a friend pointed out to me:

Homecoming 2 is set AFTER Avengers 4 and deals with the aftermath of that. And the movie releases just 2 months after A4.

How the hell is marketing for that gonna work? They cant even show a trailer for at least a couple weeks after A4

...yeah, that's a really good point, huh. Gonna be interesting to see how they handle this, or if things have changed since it was said to be post-4/there's parts set pre-IW they can show.

Man, that would really weird. If Earth was closer to a Utopia, all the other heros given up and just wanting to rebuild. But Tony. Tony in his unimaginable anger and depression keeps looking for a way. Any way to change it.

Maybe a cap that's just trying to deal with the cards dealt and has sorta given up? Just wants Tony to move on with life? Phew.

That's so harsh lol.

I kinda want to see that.

I want motivations kinda like Janeway in Voyagers Finale.

With the added bonus of it...not being Janeway. Never be Janeway.

Yeah, it's a bummer. Often times there are some really great jokes, but there are too many that just don't land at all. If they could cut out like 20% of the jokes, the movie would be better for it.

That wizard joke was great once but they used it at least two more times.

Yeah, Cap has a lot of resolve but he also knows sometimes you kind of just have to move forward with what you're given.

Tony...isn't like that, at all lol. There will probably be more infighting to come.

My only concern with the time travel indications for A4 is that they fight Thanos solely in the past, and don't actually go head to head again with the Thanos they fought in IW

The worst part of Captain Marvel is that the sexists will show their true colors and scream MARY SUE! MARY SUE!! ad nausem
God forbid Marvel try to build their version of Wonder Woman

It would explain why Tony has to go back in time to find Avengers willing to help him.

Would be ballsy. 3.5 Billion dead? So what? We have world peace now! ISIS & Al Queda quit, North Korea opened it's borders! Now, this oddly sounds like Ozymandias' vision in WATCHMEN

Captain Marvel should be a fun flick. The writers and filmmakers have all said the aim was to make the funniest Marvel movie yet. So, I'm curious to see how that ends up.
