Destiny 2: Warmind |OT| Mars Attacks!

I hear that. I had a lot of fun playing 6v6.... I wish we got another mode for that that stays on the playlist.
so there will be new raid in this one? I'm looking forward to it. Its shame how Destiny 2 lost a lot of players base. I spent around 1200 hours in destiny 1 and only 300 hours or so in Destiny 2 (I know 300 hours is not a little but comparing to destiny 1 that like quarter) Most of my friends also quit it for obvious reasons...hopefully this expansion be good....I just wish they allow cross play between Pc X1 and Ps4 or at least cross progress.
All signs point to the September expansion as the perfect (re)entry point.
The raid lair, Spire of Stars comes out this Friday. It will be the third and final part of the Leviathan/ Emperor Calus story arc. It will be in similar size to something like Eater of Worlds (the first lair) or Crota's End from Destiny 1

Doing the main quest+adventures of CoO (3-4 hours or so) unlocks a weapon forge with 12 pretty cool Vex-y looking weapons. I'd recommend it personally. Only has to be done on one character and then all 3 characters can earn the materials to forge the weapons.
I just saw the details at the bottom of the OT (which was beautifully done). My bad!
Currently there is no indication that current weapons are being left behind. The current 350 cap is probably a placeholder or a old number.
Well, why not I guess. It's worth doing the CoO story just to see what a colossal waste of an idea the expansion ended up being.

Kinda bummed. Have the expansion pass from my Pro bundle but now that I have it on PC from Humble I'd MUCH rather play through it there. Wish they had a "chuck us $10 and you can use it anywhere" and let me bring my character over too. Oh well. I'll run through vanilla again on PC and maybe snag the pass when there is a sale of some kind.
That said, I really hope this can help them out a bit with the image problem. D2 had a lot of great things going for it. I'll have to download this onto my PS4 to see how I like the changes they've made since I fell off.

Even for those of us on PS4 it sucks because there will never be a NF on it with special loot until it shows up across all platforms. And yet Bungie continues to do it. Apparently their hearing is selective (as in, if you got money, they hear ya).
I deleted all my characters and started completely fresh..........wow, didn't realize this dropped today(tomorrow). I have Osiris to do as well since I grabbed the deluxe edition. PC community hopefully is still really helpful and solid when going through. I don't want to miss out on any Osiris content.
I mean if you're a completist and want to know the whole story and experience it for yourself sure. It's underwhelming for sure but then again I do the think they could have matched the hope for Osiris based on his history. I'm fine with it.
I have both the PC and PS4 base version. I want to check out the DLC the next couple of days. None of my friends play D2 anymore. What system should I get the Expansion Pass for?
So heroic strikes can get you to softcap but only weekly milestones related to all the side actvities will give boosts past 340
So youll want to diversify as much as you can and after you exhaust the weeklies I think you can grind a few other activities to get steady boosts as well though im not sure on the specifics

Why not? Releasing really small DLCs at an expensive price is an easy way to cover the costs,even if half the players stopped playing D2. The financial model that Bungie and Activision follows is greedy and it certainly works financially.
I'm going in pretty blind for this DLC. I just watched the Dev Insights video and the Boss Hype has me good now. I'm a real stickler for the Destiny Lore, I love the world and the story - it's just a shame it fell so flat recently as it is super deep and interesting. This in a lot of ways is reminding me of the pre-destiny 1 dev talk about how we were going to go to Charlemagne's Vault on Mars and deep within we'd find the exotic hand cannon Thorn. We even have a line of dialogue in Destiny 1 from Ghost saying "The Dust Palace once housed the Warmind of Mars" but it seems in D2 they're retconning that to be a submind of Mars? As Rasputin is now the only Warmind and has sub minds on each of the planets in the solar system? Strange change but if we get some good new Rasputin and Hive lore in this DLC then I'm all up for it.
One thing this DLC does seem to be doing is new areas that are expansive, the Osiris area and Infinite Forest didn't really capture me at all and felt really boring. I love Time Travel stories and the idea of seeing multiple timelines but Osiris was a huge let down... both the character and the DLC. I hope Warmind can change the overall negative spin on D2 but I fear it will be a short lived positive upswing before the negativity creeps in as the loudest voice once again.

I'm interested in escalation protocol, once my boys return from their tour over seas it's going to be on. In the meantime I'll hold down the fort.
Polaris Lance is said to be almost like Chaos Dogma from D1. It appears to have Triple Tap or some kind of ammo refund perk. Hopefully that explosive fifth round does serious damage. Eventually, if not at the beginning, it will have a catalyst/ master work too.
Light level is staying the same for old raid content.
However, tomorrow, I'm running Leviathan to test to see if Calus will still drop a guaranteed "powerful" reward. Alright. Back on Destiny 2 hardcore tomorrow. I had three max characters on PC (six if I count PS4), and then Curse came out and my friends and I lost interest quick.
They may not come back for Warmind, but I certainly am back 100% to enjoy all the changes Bungie have done since January, which by tomorrow will probably feel like a lot of changes to the game. And I will have two Raid lairs to play and completed.

PS4 has exclusive armor and an exclusive strike, Insight Terminus on Nessus.
Not mechanically however with all the power increases combined you will melt him way faster in damage phases for sure
I played the game a ton over the weekend on PC (North American servers), and had no issues at all finding people for Iron Banner at least. I also saw a decent number of people in PvE areas and social spaces. Not sure how it is for other modes, or how it usually is, but I think the playerbase is a good size on PC.
This is where I'm at right now. Interested in seeing what the hell is going on.
I'm kinda on the fence whether to jump in or to wait until the inevitable The Taken King-esque expansion which makes the game fuck-awesome. Just like what happened with the first game.Then again, I hope they already nail it with this one.
What I just can't wrap my head around is how Luke Smith who directed both TKK and D2 could end up with two products of such differing quality...

To clarify, the Eververse items and ornaments is a "last chance" thing but Savathun's Song will come around as a Nightfall again.
