I would assume you'll need to at least play vanilla to get your guardian to a point that he can take on the DLC. The vanilla campaign's pretty decent anyway, and worth playing in my opinion.
You have to get through the base game in order to do either of the expansions.
The core game is very fun. Just sit back and enjoy the campaign.
I was only referring to people that paid for the game and the 2 DLCs already.

Seems like it's up for pre-load on all platforms now, becomes available to play at 19:00 BST (3.5 hours from now).
12 gig update on PS4 US. 6 gig more than Xbox to account for that exclusive new strike, amirite!?

I'm going to assume the talk of a 60 gig download yesterday was just for people who deleted the game or are buying it new today.
Too much info :D. I have no idea what milestones are or powerful activities. I just hit level 20 last night (I got the game on the Humble Monthly) and I dont even have all the subclasses unlocked. So increasing your Power level prepares you for harder content? Is there a scale of what is the easiest to hardest content you can do on D2?
As someone who has played since day 1 of D1, my advice is to not look at that. Power leveling feels like a job. Just have fun and know that if you want to level up to the max, you'll eventually need to do some Trials, raids, and Nightfalls. With the right people, those are very fun activities.
No. I'm just playing vanilla version as well and it's a ton of fun. Gonna get the expansions later. When u have the game just play it. The expansion stuff comes in after u finish vanilla so why wait now.
Awesome. I'm just waiting for when I know I'll have plenty of time to play before redeeming the free 30 days of PS Plus that was in the bix.
6 gigs is a big update for an expansion?
In a day in age where we have 20 gig day one updates, you have problems with a 6 gig expansion update?

If your PS4 is in rest mode, I believe you can turn it on remotely. And doing so would kick on the downloads for any games with an update.
Everything is downloaded via a patch regardless of DLC ownership, all you need to do is making sure your PS4 is set to auto downloading updates, and "purchase" the DLC to unlock the content in the PSN store.
It definitely my issue with the game, but it also a bit nostalgic. I bought D1 at launch and I didn't become a hardcore player until House of Wolves. The lead up to that pulled me in and got me to try the previous two raids ands endgame content. For me as a D2 player if feels the same way right now. I played at launch and didn't touch CoO outside of the campaign, but I'm super excited for Warmind.
My only real gripe is I wish Escalation Protcool was more Prison of Elders and less Archons Forge/Court of Oryx.

Are they giving out an item to level up your character to max level so that you can start the Warmind campaign?
