Nope, play through everything serially.I picked up Destiny 2 last week and haven't started it yet. Any reason not to play the vanilla game for a while before looking at the expansions?

I would assume you'll need to at least play vanilla to get your guardian to a point that he can take on the DLC. The vanilla campaign's pretty decent anyway, and worth playing in my opinion.I picked up Destiny 2 last week and haven't started it yet. You have to get through the base game in order to do either of the expansions.I picked up Destiny 2 last week and haven't started it yet. Any reason not to play the vanilla game for a while before looking at the expansions?
Nah, no need to come back. Other games to play. This is me stating if I keep getting burned as a consumer, I better learn from this and start placing more value on the money I spend.
Game is what it was and currently is. For me, my money goes elsewhere.
Armor Sets and Shaders?
Seems like it's up for pre-load on all platforms now, becomes available to play at 19:00 BST (3.5 hours from now).
Is there a good guide of what to do after you finish the main campaign? What is the core gameplay loop of the PvE end-game?
6.7GB on mine (UK).12 gig update on PS4 US. 6 gig more than Xbox to account for that exclusive new strike, amirite!?
Shhhhh let me troll the people who dont get to play the *exclusive* strike.
As someone who has played since day 1 of D1, my advice is to not look at that. Power leveling feels like a job. Just have fun and know that if you want to level up to the max, you'll eventually need to do some Trials, raids, and Nightfalls. With the right people, those are very fun activities.Too much info :D. I have no idea what milestones are or powerful activities. I just hit level 20 last night (I got the game on the Humble Monthly) and I dont even have all the subclasses unlocked. So increasing your Power level prepares you for harder content? Is there a scale of what is the easiest to hardest content you can do on D2?

I must have won the lottery.
No. I'm just playing vanilla version as well and it's a ton of fun. Gonna get the expansions later. When u have the game just play it. The expansion stuff comes in after u finish vanilla so why wait now.I picked up Destiny 2 last week and haven't started it yet. I dont think 6-12 gig is that bad for an expansion. Why the hell is the update so big? I feel like these patches are so inefficiently large.

Is there any way to remotely download it if you bought the Season Pass?
I re-added the Season Pass to my download list on the PSN Store download list (here) but it instantly set to "Playable" despite the PS4 only just having been turned on at home.
It's nice to feel excited about the game again. I do find it amusing the Destiny 2 dlc cycle is mirroring that of the first game.
Booted up Destiny 2 for the hell of it after downloading the patch. I recommend it. The new title screen music is pretty great. Though I gotta say the horn at the start scared me a little bit; did not expect that.
Everything is downloaded via a patch regardless of DLC ownership, all you need to do is making sure your PS4 is set to auto downloading updates, and "purchase" the DLC to unlock the content in the PSN store. Is there any way to remotely download it if you bought the Season Pass?

Oh ok, that makes sense – thank you.Everything is downloaded via a patch regardless of DLC ownership, all you need to do is making sure your PS4 is set to auto downloading updates, and "purchase" the DLC to unlock the content in the PSN store.
If your PS4 is in rest mode, I believe you can turn it on remotely.
Oh, they changed it for this? They didn't do that with Osiris.
Are they giving out an item to level up your character to max level so that you can start the Warmind campaign?
Too excited. Bought on PS4 so that I can start tonight. Why am I so weak?!
