Meh, you just like new gaming things? You're seriously not alone.

I just like being part of the discussion a lot. I wish I was a "game journalist" then I wouldn't have to spend money on the shit sometimes. In the past, I bought the Xbox 360 kinect, just to try it out, see what I thought of it. Once I was done, I sold it. Did the same thing with PSVR, and probably other items too.

I have a 4ktv right now, and I'd love to have something that might finally take advantage of the damn thing. Support of the PS4 pro has been extremely lackluster to me.

Played the opening tutorial in titan fall 2 today. Looks fantastic. However, the moment when they teach you to call in a titan and you are surrounded by all that grass, the grass was sort of popping in and out as i moved around slightly.

I am the same way. I just got the x yesterday and only played 2 games on it so far and I think I'm done with it. I was just tired of looking at the huge ogre (original xbox) next to my switch and ps4pro.

I know what you mean about the discussion. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be included. Just consider your finances first. If buying something like a console is going to make rent/food/utilities not doable for the month, then just hold off. I am not trying to condescend. You're an adult, I assume, so I think you know what to do.

Just don't be so hard on yourself. You recognized it as a thing you want to change, and that's important. Beating yourself over a problem you already recognize won't help!

Well that's why I am looking at trades/ selling stuff. I do have some responsibilities coming up that I have to take care of, but my paychecks are handling that. I can see being able to buy an xbox one x after this month is over, but I'd rather save actual money for my next vacation.

Anyone tried out the original Bioshock games? They all had the option to turn off the framecap, so they should run @~60FPS without tearing on the X.
I recorded a comparison video between OG Xbox One and Xbox One X, I hope I can put it online on Gamersyde tonight.

Bioshock 2 holds the 60 FPS better than on OG Xbox One, but even when it's at 60 it does not feel that right, frame-pacing is uneven.
I don't have Bioshock 1 anymore on Xbox 360.

Also, there will be comparisons of :
- Cities Skylines (jumps to 60 FPS unpatched !)
- Battlefield 4 (Solo + MP)
- Battlefield 1 (MP)
- GTA IV (Xbox One X only, near 45 FPS in the city and up to 60)

I haven't heard a peep out of my console yet and I've even played my console for a long day.

I notice periodic stutters on my X. Usually system freezes for one to two seconds. Usually at Forza 7 loading screens or a bit when initially running around Sunset overdrive. Forza is on internal drive, I think sunset external. Anyone else notice this?

I'm using the latest Xbox preview build.

I double checked many many times. Many different batteries too. It should always turn on even if the console isn't even on, right? It is on but just making sure.

The only thing that works is plugging in the USB cable. The light turns and stays on but I still can't do anything from there, not even the sync button does anything.

Just return/exchange it. It is either a faulty controller from factory or someone repacked a controller they broke into a new controller box, thus leading the store to sell you a broken one.

I've been using my elite regularly since the day they launched and it is still flawless other than a slightly mushy A button, which happens on EVERY controller ever for me.

I personally love the hyper X clouds. I use them with the chat adapter to change the volume and also mute. Not sure why those headphones don't let out sound from both sides on the PS4 though.

Cloud II? do you need chat adaptor to have mic working? Are you going directly into controller? Are they open or closed and hows bass? I have AT m70x that sound good but no chat.

Yeah, I've put the Lucidsounds LS35X on my christmas list, they look comfy and other models get good reviews. I was going to get the Turtle Beach ones (currently have an older wireless Turtle Beach set that occasionally have sound issues) but there are reports that they drop out and people have sync issues with them, so going to give them a miss.

First 24 hours gone by well, got some gaming in and left it on standby downloading over night. No issues at all. Bought an Elite controller too. What a well made piece of hardware it is. Really wish Sony would bring out something similar.

I want to check out the post-patch Titanfall 2 campaign and maybe some MP. They (rightfully) really got that out there quick.

Ok....think I might have finally come up with enough trade stuff for the X...lol Now I gotta go to a gamestop in a bad neighborhood because that's the only one nearby with one in stock. Think I'm gonna go see a early movie this morning, and then see if I can get the X. Will report later if it pans out lol

Yeah the new one is fine man. What an awesome looking and feeling controller. Do you have some tips for me for this thing? I already gave the Halo 5 campaign profile a shot but are there more profiles to be found online or are the ones in the app the only ones? But any general tips you may have are always appreciated. I'm not incredibly good at online shooters but maybe this controller can help ever so slightly with that, haha. In the app for the controller it says it provides the best accuracy you can imagine etc, so is it actually more accurate and better in those regards than the standard controller?

There is a USB adapter that does volume control but that needs to go to the console. I personally hate using that because my X1X is far away. I wire it only to my controller which does not have volume control. So I bought the MS official adapter that goes into the controller and then I wire that to the adapter.

Gotta say, I am super impressed by how Microsoft have handled this console both hardware and software wise, they're working ridiculously hard to make things more enjoyable on this device. If they brought back an OS that I enjoyed navigating like the early 360 days I'd be soooooo happy with this thing.

Also, first post on the new forum, woo! To celebrate, quote this post for some free codes for my game on X1 (and in 4k on the X1X). Just comment if you took one so I can update this later letting people know not to bother.

Edit - Codes appear to be all used, thanks folks.

Picked my X up last night. I remember on launch day there was a lot of HDMI-CEC questions. I no longer have my kinect hooked up but the X still turns on my REC and my TV when I power it up, and the same for when I turn it off.

Also I'm a lowly 1080plebe but these games look fantastic with the other enhancements.

Thanks Paz! Grabbed #2

To say that "You won't feel a difference at all on a 1080p screen" triggers me, cause that's just nonsense.

That's why they call me evil!

But for real, yeah, even with the added frame rate and general power improvements at 1080p, you probably won't notice a handful of frames here and there, especially as most games generally try to hit a smooth frame rate (even if its' 30).. going from 30 to 34 frames, or even 40, in spots where it might stutter at 24-22 during load or stream-ins, isn't gonna be like "Holy shit this upgrade was so worth it!" like viewing content in 4k or HDR would.

Was I generalizing/marginalizing the upgrades on 1080p? Yep. But I bet if you had them running side by side (Og bone and XBX) in 1080p, you'd get the same results as the pepsi challenge when dealing with an end user (and not a forum-goer like us!).

Wow, how nice of you. I grabbed the CPYKD-232MX-2QMM6-F6CR4-TP36Z key and got Assault Android Cactus. Many Thanks!

Anyone have any good headphone recommendations?
Been using Astro A50s for over 3 years now and they're great. Slightly heavy bc all the wireless built into the headphones but not too bad. Sound quality is excellent and build quality is really good also.

Hooked up to do pass through with Digital Optical/TOSlink on my TV so I can watch TV, play 1X or PS4Pro without changing anything.

Guys. I won't lie to you. I bloody love this thing.

Loved my original Xbox.
Loved my 360.
Had an Xbox One from early on but never really got on with it at all. The UI was a mess, it was slow, parties never seemed to work, and the games didn't function as well (in my opinion) as the PS4 versions.

But man. It's so good to be playing an Xbox again.

Completely agree; it feels like a next gen console. They really hit it out of the park. I'm keeping my PS4 just to play The Last of Us 2, but am mothballing it otherwise. Thank god the PS4 Pro was so obviously half baked, was not tempted to go there at all.

Controller was having real bad disconnecting fits last night. Literally would disconnect every 10 seconds. I even walked right up to the console and it kept doing the same thing. I plugged it into the console with the usb cable, then unplugged it. Controller stayed connected for an hour or so after doing that. It says the battery was full so that shouldn't be the problem.

I guess im going to try moving some stuff around when I get some time and see if that helps. PS4 and Switch are nearby and they aren't have any problems though.

I asked before, but does anyone know when 1440p support is coming?

It's already in isn't it?

Just hit the home button (big white xbox button) once, then settings is in the top right corner of the pop-out panel. Just hit the right shoulder button to get to it.

The new UI is faster, things make sense, it feels like a gaming machine again, and my god how good do the games look.

And I know this is mega cheesy, but playing again on Xbox, with my mates, joining parties, loving the system, it feels like coming back home.

Exactly the same for me. Probably own 50+ PS4 games compared to less than 10 xbone games. Of course now that the 1X is out already bought AC:Origins, WW2, ROTR, FH3 and Titanfall 2 for Xbox. Have a HUGE backlog of 360 games for my X is well. Guessing near 100 360 games scattered throughout the house.

Nice!

I just moved AC Origins and COD WWII to an external harddrive and noticed a lot more stuttering during the intro cutscenes. Does anyone else experience this?
My external HDD: Seagate 4TB STDR4000200.

Slightly offtopic maybe, but it doesn't warrant its own thread. But there should be a app very similar to YouTube and it actually offers 4K unlike YouTube. I needs this app. What is the name?
