That was never recorded as an issue from AV websites either, only the colour reproduction being incorrect due to an RGB conversion that occurred
Question! I noticed the YCC 4:2:2 option on the X. Should this be checked for best IQ on my TCL P? If this isn't checked off will the X output in RGB? I believe the PS4 Pro can output 2160p 12-bit (HDR) YUV422 (17.82Gbps), which is ideal.
Does anyone have a LG B6 OLED hooked up to the X? I can't get it to check off the 50hz option under advanced video settings. Everything else is checked off fine.
There's the official one on Amazon. Might be worth it.
If you're not in a PAL region I wouldn't sweat it. Which, even then, it doesn't it matters much these days. HD/UHD doesn't adhere to that old standard.

The only time that setting will matter is with PAL DVDs. Does anyone even watch those antiquated DVD discs anymore? ;-)

The issue is most noticeable in the black bars on wide aspect ratio movies.
Apparently the high-level beta members got a fix already.
Its an ok TV at a good price. Grab it if that's what you can afford; but be warned its kind of a shitty TV for HDR, the brightness just is not there.
The TV doesn't support 50hz in non PAL regions. Do you have a PAL/SECAM dvd you need to play or some pirate station still broadcasting in 50hz? If not, you're good. :)
Tomorrow a store in my country is having a 22% discount on all catalog (at least they say so...). I already have a Ps4 Pro and a gaming PC but for <399€ I'm willing to buy the One X.
It`s true that even the PC version is stuttering during the intro cutcenes but the weird thing on the X is, that I get much more stuttering while playing from external HDDs than from the internal one.

Damn, Rise of the Tomb Raider is beautiful. Just got to Syria, and I haven't even moved off of the cliff face. It's so pretty.
It's probably thier engine or some ....other reasons....that could be speculated because more and more games are starting to give the option like gears 4.... personally I prefer 4k ultra over 60fps like gears 4, but I agree that fps need to be 60fps like halo and doom, COD,battlefront etc, most are true 4k and 60fps or 1080 and 60fps with other improvements
In terms of an external HDD, is it worth me getting a SSHD in an enclosure? Would that be a big improvement over just a standard external HDD? I've got a SSHD installed in my Pro.
It's tough to say really ... I have an SSD hooked up to my X and to be honest, there really isn't a night and day difference between either my external 7200 or the internal 5400 drive
Installing a game will happen as fast as possible while playing a bluray makes the drive operate at a much lower speed.

No, only use it if necessary. It's converted from the RGB output anyway.
I saw that you can let the Xbox upload every screenhot you make to your Xbox profile and the website, is that also somehow possible with OneDrive? I don't want to post every screenshot I make, that's odd, since I don't know if everyone even looks good, but OneDrive would be nice.

Isn't this one of their "premiere" stores? Would make sense they get a ton of extra stock. I know the stores near me are out or almost out since launch.

I'm having an annoying issue...i cannot load Rise of the Tomb Raider...i get into the menus ok but once i try to continue my game it attempts to load for a while then i get the error "Failed to allocate graphics memory! HRESULT is [0x8007000e]" which completely crashes and shuts down the Xbox...
any ideas? i just want to play the game lol

Actually now that you mention it that is not a gamestop layout, so either it's a premiere store like I said (Dallas has a few unique style stores) or its an MS store.

The Shadow of War Bundle is exclusive to Gamestop and MS Stores. I went with GS

I'm 100% digital for games on the X but my drive is definitely not a "zero noise" drive, tbh I think it's too noisy to be used as a 4K bluray drive. Thinking about getting a dedicated one instead. Haven't tried using it in combination with the projector though (since it's only 1080p), it might "fix" the problem I guess, by being even noisier :P
Ok, I might just get a 7200. I just feel like games in general are taking a bit longer to load on my X (internal) than my Pro (with SSHD) , but then I'm not comparing the same games so it's not a scientific analysis, just a hunch!
I have had multiple issues with ROTR. It started with my, apparently, too small 30GB DL (or maybe it's the full DL? Who knows.)and then continued immediately following the first London cutscene transitioning into Syria cutscene. I just got a bright white screen. I could pause it and see menus, but that was it. I reinstalled AND deleted my save, and that fixed it. But I had to delete my save and start over to get past the white screen of death.
Sounds to me like scalpers backed off and they will be sold to consumers who actually want them. That's good.
Keep in mind the file sizes of the games ... I'm pretty sure the X has a lot more data to deal with than the PS4 .... that's the price of those 4K assets I guess
I get it, I've worked at both so I may have a better sense for it, but the lack of 10,000 toys is the dead giveaway.

edit: so apparently i forgot that i had eventually gone back and beaten this sometime last year...was able to get in to an alternate save (by pressing RT+LT on my save) and played to the end again...oops...
