Too bad that ist seems confirmed the new lighting looses all kind of details on armor textures...
I mean just compare with this : https://youtu.be/ZfI-eC9HiYA?t=9m51s
video-game-strategy.netWhat's the best trophy guide out there? Don't know if I want to put up with plat again but in case?
I am speaking for myself, obviously, and was agreeing with someone else. I'm getting the game too. I'm just not ultra excited about it. It's ok, don't be offended
Cool, how big's the download?
Are they not 2 different games? I felt demons was like Mega man."Genre-defining game that started it all"... R.I.P Demon's Souls.
People are surely going to figure out some new glitches, dupe techniques and whatnot really quickly. So expect op invaders and whatnot to become commonplace within the first week. The thing I'm looking forward to most is the first few days, being able to summon and invade without endless twinks
Not bad. I totally wasn't going to buy this, with Detroit coming out and still playing GoW, but damnnn this game brings back so many memories that I may as well just pick it up to have it on my console at all times. Such a damn classic that it deserves all the support it can get.
I can't believe I'm signing myself up for hours of punishment. Orn and Smo, blight town, Capra...fuck. me.I can't believe I'm so excited for a game that I've already played and finished multiple times on multiple platforms.
mh, to me the first version of The Ringed City is tougher (and the bosses are more difficult even if we consider the patched version).
I went digital this time even though it's a bit more expensive. It's only around 7gb and it's a classic game to have on the console at all times. I'd go digital if I were you :)Going for PS4 version while waiting for switch version.
Now to get physical or digital though? Getting a physical copy would save me about 7$, but on the other hand digital is so convenient...
I guess it all boils down to personal experiences. I have yet to find a tougher boss (in any game) than the nightmare that was Manus in DS1. Fume Knight comes in 2nd, those annoying Wolves 3rd.
It's most likely gonna be out on steam this friday. But store page will not go up beforehand, so no pre-order or pre-load :/So are they going to subtly announce PC version is delayed too ? I still can't pre order....

Why everybody so obsessed about preordering the game? Especially if you consider that the "Prepare to die Edition" on PC was a total mess...
There was a test on PC?The network test didn't have any real flaws besides minor oddities and bugs. I guarantee it won't be broken like PtD.
Yea, I replayed Dark Souls just this month (with the Prepare to Die Again mod) and was really dreading O&S who had always been an enormous thorn in my side.. and I got them down in six attempts. Which I suppose is still a decent amount but I was expecting like thirty lol. By and large the game was much breezier than I remember it being, and doing the DLC for the first time I found all but Manus to be pretty underwhelming, and Manus only stood out because of his magic bs.Have you played Bloodborne and DS3? I feel like after playing those games, most of Dark Souls will actually feel kind of easy, Souls games have gotten progressively harder but it was kind of hard to notice as we played them in order by release date. I might be wrong, but I feel like the only parts I will still find hard are some of the AotA bosses and the environmental challenges like Painting room or Sens Fortress. I can't imagine O&S being hard after besting the Nameless King, nor can I imagine the Capra Demon giving me much trouble after my harrowing battle with Laurence, the first Vicar.
Yep, I've played both. Perhaps DS1 sticks out most in my mind because it was the first souls game I had ever played. I also feel like the space between bonfires, especially in the first areas is not as generous as souls 3. Hopefuly 7 years of training will have payed off and it will be easier this time around :)Have you played Bloodborne and DS3? Im scared now, im guna be playing this for the first time, first souls/bourn game aswell.A moment of silence for noobs who run down to vamos and rest at the bonfire then try to leave the catacombs.
Well it sure was the core problem but it also lacked graphic options, had abysmal mouse & keyboard controls, used Games for Windows Live and had barely working multiplayer. People were still happy that the game made it to PC. ;)The problem with PtD is that the game was designed to run at 30fps, and unlocking the framerate causes some problems. It's safe to assume the PC version won't be locked to 30fps.
Same trophies but different entry. Not sure if DLC spells/weapons would be required for the 4 trophies that need them.

Four full flegded souls games in 5 years...yep. Lazy is a fair assessment.
That's a good question... I'm not sure how OTs for other remasters handled this. Most people playing it, I presume, will be veterans, but it'd be nice if newcomers to the game could participate in the OT with as much of a spoiler-free experience as possible. This may be difficult though.
What constitutes spoilers in Dark Souls when they tell you who the big bosses are in the opening cinematic, though? That's a good question... I'm not sure how OTs for other remasters handled this. What does everyone, especially OP The Living Tribunal, think, of a spoiler policy for this OT, at least for the first month or so?
True, and most of the more iconic moments are, well, iconic and meme-ified now. I'm not sure what the right answer is, so that's why I'm asking for opinions. What constitutes spoilers in Dark Souls when they tell you who the big bosses are in the opening cinematic, though?
I don't mind tagging my posts, just want to know what I should tag.
Because it's the best game ever made and people want to play it as soon as the new version is available. Why is everybody so obsessed about preordering the game? Especially if you consider that the "Prepare to die Edition" on PC was a total mess...
Artorias of the Abyss has my favorite bosses in the game, enjoy.I just remembered I never played any DLC content in any of the DS games and skipped some optional areas so I guess this is the perfect chance to do that. Just when I was watching the trailer there I didn't recognise some of the bosses. I kinda just ran through the base game for 1/2/3. I think a "replay" of the series is happening then.
I'd suggest that we mark spoilers for every area except for the Northern Undead Asylum, Firelink Shrine, and the Undead Burg; and for every boss that is not one of those named in the opening cinematic.True, and most of the more iconic moments are, well, iconic and meme-ified now.
