Finished the final boss at 71% (probably played around 8 hours). Amazing game! The mood and the quality of the game is consistent to the very end.

If you keep an exploration mindset (like in BotW for example), this game is really a blast to play.

Now back for the remaining 29%.

In poor Yoku's defense, his ancestors were dung beetles. His ball is clean and white, thank you very much.

Only clean and white at the beginning of the game. Mine looks like a strawberry.

Golden scarab here.

I do like that if you combine any three Sprinkles it turns into a dung ball.

There is someone in the village who might be able to paint a clearer picture for you.

For a less cryptic answer:

You will find baubles during your adventure which you hand to an npc in town. You can then apply colours to your ball, 2 colours at a time. Try experimenting ;)

Thanks. I got the red one, but no clue where to find the others.

This game is quitely brilliant. The story is kind of just there as charming window-dressing, but just moving around a world built on pinball is so singularly brilliant. Truly a gem.

I think I'm gonna pick this up. Was gonna grab Ikaruga, but I've bought that so many times.

I just got to the main village of this colorful, tropical island paradise where my little cartoon pillbug dude will be taking on the duties of postmaster, and
there's a big ol' Cthulhu here and he's been injured by someone called the GOD SLAYER

I'm beginning to suspect that there's something funny going on here.

There's some chests I have no idea how to access, driving me nuts.

- Chest that needs green key, no clue how to get the key
- Chest beyond lava pit (snowy peaks)
- Chest in an alcove, with a snail ball nearby. Am I supposed to somehow blow myself up to reach it? Tried for a ridiculous amount of time.

I also haven't found a way to access chest #1 and chest #2 as well. But I assumed it's because of some ability I still don't have.

Not sure where #3 is.

But I have a huge problem figuring out how to access this chest:
The chest to the top right of the "mines" (on the outside) in the snowy area, where the bear is at the top. There's a bumper just below the chest.

All of those require slugs. Yes, it's a pain in the ass.

I've only done number 3 but worth bearing in mind you can manually detonate...

How? And can you actually angle the blast? I've never been able to. These are going to be such a pain .

Also, anyone know where a "quiet, hot, dry place" is? I've scoured the entire map. Traversal in this game is really annoying when your goal is to get the collectibles. Literally need to study the zoomed out view to figure out each journey.

It's near where
the moths were for the fish quest
.

You want to position the slug such that when you detonate (with the noisemaker), it will propel the ball. So for instance if you wanted to go straight up then the slug should be under the ball. It's still a pain, though.

This game is so full of whimsy and one of the best traversal systems I've seen in a Metroidvania.

Yeah, this game is really picking up now. I'm a little more than halfway through the main quest while doing a fair bit of exploring for collectables along the way. I love zipping around the island on the Beeline.

The game is giving me classic Nifflas vibes (e.g. Within a Deep Forest, Knytt, Knytt Stories), and that's high praise coming from me.

Ok, this is driving me absolutely insane.

how the hell do you get to the chest past the lava pool in the snow area? There is NO explosive snails anywhere near it. I've tried everything. I'm probably over thinking it, but I give up.

Finished up tonight. Should have been in bed 2 hours ago, but kept hunting down just one more collectible...

Got all the chests, and I think I'm just missing a couple of the little seed thingys short, and a location or two for the spores, and probably a mailbox or two.

What a charming little game! Everything is just so whimsical: the art, the music, the characters! The sootling on a leash and slug explosions took some getting used to, but I started to feel pretty comfortable with time.

Ok, this is driving me absolutely insane.

There is.

Back to the left where there is a single blue bumper. You don't have a lot of time to cover a lot of ground, but you can make it from there.

I'm missing one wickerling, presumably in the first area, since I have eyes for three other areas. Where am I missing the eye, if there is one?

I used the closest slugs available. I think that's the trickiest thing I've done in the game

Yeah, there's something relaxing about it, yet mechanically deep, much like a Nifflas game. Also it makes me want a Knytt collection on Switch now

I have eyes for Gorilla Woods, Marrow Hill and Crystal Deep - but not for the snowy area. Sounds like you're missing the eye for Gorilla Woods? IIRC, it was found
near the gorilla
, but I might remember wrong.

Yeah, that's the eye I'm missing. I looked around there and didn't find it, but I also don't know what to do with the gorilla statue.

Just did the 'first'
multi-ball section
and yeah, this game is legit.

General non-spoiler hint: try one color only and see what name/effect that color has. Then wash off the color in the tapped water and try another color. The descriptions will guide you towards the two to combine, if you got both the colors.

I got it, but the color combination was so non-intuitive, having nothing to do with the target color. Just randomly tried all the mixes till it worked.

Also, anyone know where to get the eye for the snowy section? Hope it's not in that chest past the lava pit, as I may never be able to get that one.

I don't know what to do with that as well. The eye isn't inside that anyhow. Have you got the reward from
rabbit that was afraid of the small black blobs
? I don't remember what reward that was.

Currently at 33% and I got one of the chiefs. I tried delivering a couple of those overdue packages, but it seems like I super underpowered to do those quests. I am happy that I got one of the power ups:
I got the dive fish so now I can enter the passage of the Undertask village. I also had a fun little side mission by collecting Dive fish tadpoles and then getting a fruit wallet as a reward.
This game continues to impress and am loving its mechanics and charm!

I'm getting close to finishing the game and I can't help but feel like I'm going to miss it once I'm done.

Hope there's a sequel.
