TLOP and Ye are such polar opposites in what they were trying to achieve. Way too early to even try to compare the two IMO
yeh, i just skimmed through TLOP again. it has multiple highs that i dont really feel ye reaches consistently. which for a 20 minute long album is pretty insane.
For an artist, and even more so singers/rappers, saying some shit is their way of doing shit. You are denying the essence of music, that words have impact and meaning.

lmao, graduation is worse then this. grad has some good Shit and it captures that era of pop culture and rap quite well, but it's his weakest album and least ambitious rather easily imo

I feel like it's more noticeable to me on Ghost Town because it's a 4 minute song where he only has one verse.

If you're going to have a seven track album, you better make sure each track destroys. Instead, it ends just as it feels like it's starting to pick up. I hate the seven track crap. I just want a new Kanye album with a standard length that isn't bogged down by editing the thing after it comes out.

He did a bit more than tweet her name. Candace was one the influencers at his big event (celebrating the art but not the artist, right?) last night which anyone following her or Turning Point USA is now well aware.
That tweet has 23,000 likes. I'm guess at least a few of them are from actually undecided young people who now feel more comfortable with the reactionary right. How many events does Kanye have to use to spotlight people like Owens before this arbitrary art/artist distinction become untenable?
Let's be real guys. This album (more like an EP) is mediocre at best. It feels like Kanye is pulling out the various production tricks he's learned over the years out of his hat and try and do something. It's too short, and the first half is genuinely bad. Ghost Town is the best track on the record by far. Even still, it's just fine? There's very little going on lyrically on it. It's cool that he has some lyrics about family and stuff on the record, but the general record itself as a whole is meh.
If you like MBDTF and College Dropout and Late Registration best like I do, not at all
