Really hope I get a shiny Aerodactyl.

Been walking around town trying to stack up 3 of the evolve quest after work each day. Managed 6 yesterday!

I just caught another Shiny Kabuto (Bathroom shiny lol). I now have 2 (1st was from quest) and an Aero from quest. No Anon yet.

Yeah wtf zero shinies here and I've done several Aerodactyl raids solo.

I still don't have a shiny Magikarp. Shinies might as well be the same as in the actual games. A myth.

where i sit at work Aron spawns constantly, along with Alolan Exeggcute now(seriously this can go away any time now), with Omanyte/Kabuto spawning on occasion. just a constant stream of Aron, all day long.

Fyi, GoIV (Android IV checker) is now on Google play store so you don't have to sideload it anymore. It's my IV checker of choice, free, no ads, and doesn't have a persistent bubble.

242 Aron seen and still no shiny. Isn't the rate around 1-in-256 or something like that? I'm at 152 Omanyte and 131 Kabuto seen with no shinies, as well. But at least 10-15 of those were before the shinies were introduced.

Probably more like 1 in 500.

Only wild shinies I've found are 2 Magikarp (which were about 10 spawns apart) and 2 Aron in less than 75 spawns haha.

Me neither and it's one of the coolest shinies. I'm going to hit the oceanfront hard this weekend and try to spin at least 50 stops a day to try and get as many adventure week quests as possible.

Guys. I am back to the game after such a long time. I reinstall the game tx to Lets Go announcement lol.

Any tips on how to upgrade our mons there? I have 98k of stardust here.

Welcome back. 98k stardust isn't actually that much. I'd still save up some. But if you have Dragonite, Tyranitar or Machamp with good ratings I'd go for that

Thank good. It drained all my balls and berries. Unfortunately I didn't catch a >82% one.

Yeah, go for raids then. The Pokémon you can get from participating in level 4 and 5 raids will be so far above your current highest that they don't need upgrades.
And any Stardust you invest in Pokémon lower than level 30 is quite pointless, so better to save it up.

I see. But with such weak poke, can i survive Raid lol? I would get steamrolled by those pokemons lol.

The best thing you can do right now is to just focus on increasing your trainer level. Pokestops you've never spun (which after such a long absence is pretty much all pokestops) temporarily give 2100 XP base (normally 250). Pop a lucky egg in an area you haven't played in yet and just spin as many Pokestops with the white circle around them as you can.

Raids are also great, as people have mentioned.

The boosted Pokestop XP (and Latias/Latios as a tier 5 raid boss) ends June 5. Ho-Oh sticks around a bit longer, until June 7.

This is true, but it's also the best way to build up a team of attackers since raid encounters are always level 20 (25 weather boosted). Everyone had to start somewhere, and people should understand. Just make sure you are in raid teams with at least 4-5 high level players as unfortunately you won't be able to contribute much until your trainer level is higher.

I tell ya, shiny hunters are something else. I don't go out of my way to catch shinies, but some people map out quests each day for a chance to get a shiny lol

Since your still so low in level, I'd recommend saving your dust.

Since there are a few days left in the event, I VERY much recommend catching as many geodudes as you can. Golems are very useful. I'd even recommend walking one too for extra candy.

On June 16th, it will be Larvitar for Community day. Check out link below for the timezone for you. Tyranitars a very useful. Esp with the upcoming special move. It's also tripple xp catches, so it will help you level up. Find a park or big area where lots of spawns are.

Don't waste stardust until you're catching higher level stuff. Honestly I think it's not super useful to power up common Pokemon that you find at a low level. Once you're level 30 you can run into weather boosted Pokemon that will be high enough a level that it'll save you oodles of stardust and be about as good.
