That trailer has me so hyped right now. Haven't felt that about a Halo game since probably Reach's announcement.

Halo Infinite - E3 2018 - Announcement Trailer (XB1/PC - Sequel to Halo 5)

It will take place after the events of Halo 5 but feel new to new players. Remember how Halo CE woke you up in the middle of a war your had apparently been fighting?
Well it's gonna be free on Game Pass so they have to monetize it somehow....
Infinite sounds like a soft reboot. Maybe Destiny-like? As someone who didn't like Halo 5, I really hope they've scrapped their "new trilogy" plans.
Also, I swear I caught a reference to the original original Halo trailer, before it became an Xbox game.
I think the name is confusing people. This absolutely is Halo 6 - it's just not called Halo 6 because 343 are doing something different with the game design (which we can infer from the engine trailer and the subtitle "Infinite").

At first glance, that is a LOT of white dudes.
Considering the trailer was a glorified tech demo, I can't be too hyped, but at least the environments look great.

The Master Chief reveal was VERY reminiscent of the Kratos reveal from God of War E3 2016. And just as hype too

We need a name for the recent trend of E3 presentations aimed, at least in part, at touting the company to prospective employees. EA has mastered that and this appears to be something similar. Still, I'm incredibly excited for a new Halo game (even if it's pivoting away from the excellent art style used in 4 and 5).

That's my Chief! Only small details but it sounds like it could be everything I've been looking for since the Bungie days. Sad it's probably years away though :(
I love it! It clearly suggests that this we will play on the full ring with a completely modelled landscape - Bascially what Bungie wanted to do with Halo 1 in the first place. It's great to see, that they went to back the classic art style, can't wait to get a full shot of the new Chief.
Too bad it seems like this will take a while until it releases, sounds like late 2019 or even 2020 from the Halo Waypoint article. But this could be the step in the right direction and I can't wait to see more of it - Hopefully before the next E³

Weird comment. There are a bunch of females and non Caucasian males in the photo. I mean it is a game studio in the US.
The team also heard feedback loud and clear on the amount of time spent playing as the Master Chief in Halo 5. In Halo Infinite, the game will focus on the Master Chief and continue his saga after the events of Halo 5.

I'm in the reboot camp as well given the classic art style, not titled Halo 6, etc.

Based on the trailer I thought this was Halo Battle Royal. Now I'm more curious if this is a direct replacement for Halo 6 or an in between ODST style.
Why? They did the engine completely from scratch I think. It seems 343i wants to make this their swan song. Revitalize the franchise like God Of War did this year or Metal Gear Solid 5 did with its open-world approach. I cannot wait to see what 343i has in store for us. Even if I will miss Halo 4/5's Chief armor design.
I want classic Halo back. The old school helmet in the trailer gives me hope but I'm ready to be disappointed again.

I'm surprised the announcement trailer doesn't have more dislikes. For the amount of time they've been working on this, there should have probably been a little more meat to that reveal.
If they combine Halo gameplay with a decent sized (not gigantic maps) open world , it will be awesome
