Don't they have like 400 staff? Surprised this is all they could put out, and that the 'Halo Infinite is MP only' has fallen flat on its face.
The engine and art looks great, but are we really going to be waiting until 2020 for new Halo?

Are you able to share how far off the game is? Should we be expecting to wait until E3 2019 for more details and gameplay?
Nah his wording was unclear at least at first but Stinkles and many people have cleared it up thanks.
That is the iconic look and atmosphere that captures the magic of Halo. Nostalgic and grandiose. Brilliant teaser. Halo is at such a critical moment, it's smart to bring back to the forefront that unique atmosphere.

What do you mean no news? That's a community-based thing. They just recently had sign-ups for phase two of that.
I'm super pumped since I wasn't expecting to get anything Halo-related this E3, but I wish the announcement had been a bit less vague. Thought this was some sort of MMO or prequel or something at first. Still excited, though.
They built an entire new engine and redid the art style completely while keeping Halo 5 going. Also I'm guessing this is a launch title for the next system, so, 2020.
Anyone know what this poster is about on the left?
First thought is that "Her" is Cortana, but I don't know why there'd be a poster for that unless humans started being on her side. Or maybe I'm misreading "Her".

If it actually released that late, it'd probably be a launch title on Xbox Two, but still release on Xbone considering how long it's been in development for.

I've disliked (to put it lightly) the 343i marine designs since day one of Halo 4, so I'm so happy about this. Like ridiculously so. xD
Slipspace Engine doing work. I said this in the other thread. 343i needed to change that old Bungie Halo engine.

Looks like a submerged turretless Halo 4 warthog. Possibly not a Halo 5 warthog due to the different railing on the hood. And yet a 5 warthog appears later in the trailer.
Did a warthog end up underwater on a Halo ring in 4?
Also, Chief is not the one driving at the end of the trailer. It's the marines. However, Chief's visor shows that he has a hog for himself as well.

Wow! I was super skeptical about this going in, but 343 has blown my expectations out of the water! I'm really excited for this - it looks like years of relentless complaining has finally paid off!

It says "Fight for Her", it's actually a poster that is hanging in the Pillar of Atumn in the first level of Halo: CE. Great easteregg, Her relates to Earth.
They said it's the next chapter in the Halo series and we're mysteriously avoiding saying it Halo 6 or a continuation of Halo 5 story. Which would be good news. A new direction, kinda looking like a soft reboot, that would be the right call for sure.

And the Xbox guy said they were moving away from the numbering so there likely won't be a game called "Halo 6"

This reminds me a LOT of the old CE demonstration in some ways.
The Halos were used to preserve various species until the galaxy was ready to be reseeded (this was supposed to be a thing in the games, but got cut due to issues), which is why their surfaces replicate natural terrains. Earth fauna (including species millions of years extinct) says to me this is the ring intended to preserve humanity, Installation 07, which also has the most complicated history and has been in a semi-recent book.
Yeah, I immediately felt that the inclusion of wildlife was inspired by proto-Halo 1.
Looks very clean. It will be interesting if they're still going for 60fps during gameplay with those visuals.
Name might not suggest single player, but an entire trailer with Master Chief as the only character does.
Still using the ugly Battle Rifle design I see, unfortunate. Armor looks a lot better though!
