Demo is undeniably in a better place with its bfa retooling, but it is surprising how few actual abilities it has for the baseline rotation. It's literally 4 spells without talents. However, it does have quite a few short cooldown options so maybe that's the intention.

So, I assume pre patch is going to include the questlines for the World Tree burning and Battle for Lordaeron? I would think for the average player, having at least a month to explore all of that before BfA launches would be nice. Not everyone can play 5 hours a day.

Yeah I'd expect it to drop around a month before launch day, maybe a bit later, and include intro quests similar to Legion's. Hopefully something like the invasions again; those were cool and great for leveling.

Hearing about the state of Shaman DPS in BfA got me trying out Resto tonight. Turns out I love it. I guess this is me now.

Resto was my first healing spec back in Cata when I got the balls to try it and it's my favorite of all healers in the game. I think it's very fun!

I installed the PTR last night and it was going very slow so I didn't get to mess around that much. Character Copy wasn't enabled so I guess I could have just kept playing with talents on the beta but it's not the same experience (for me) testing a character who isn't "mine" you know?

2 "sightless eye" pro-tips for today!

1. Kirin Tor WQs are up. It only has 3 WQs needed. Fizzi Liversapper in the Underbelly has a repeatable click quest that gives you 150 Sightless Eyes AND KT WQ credit. Basically an automatic WQ completion for KT. Which leaves only 2.

2. If you can get the toy Sightless Eye which drops from Rezira the Seer (a tough one to get too though). This may be the most useful toy so far. Usable only on Argus though. It gives you 10 mins of pure stealth like cover (5min cooldown). Useable when mounted. Breaks when hit, but you can literally stand next to a mob and it won't detect you. Works on all your characters. I use it when riding around Argus to avoid aggro, but where it really shines is doing Argus quests on alts since it gives you total freedom to complete objectives while not getting any aggro. In some ways it is better than stealth.

It's a tough toy to get, but well worth it. I have the item that gets you to the cave where Rezira is. If anyone is on alliance and wants a port, PM me and I'll give you my Btag to hook up.

I haven't looked into it much but does it seem like we'll be able to power level alts at all with this pre-patch like we could with Legion? That would be amazing.

I'm guessing not since they want everyone to try their new zone scaling tech and level the allied races as well.

Well the Teldrassil has what sounds like a few weeks of war quests, those could be made to be available at any level.

A friend of mine just told me that those are locked to 110 in Beta rn. I haven't been there to check myself but I believe him. Scaling should, in theory, allow anyone to do them but I'm not holding my breath.

This is probably but old news, but it seems like hidden artifact appearances are shared across specs? Or maybe characters?

I started playing demonology lock for the first time last night and I already have one of the hidden appearances unlocked. With the crazy Eredar head.

It was a bug that they decided to keep in. You can complete the hidden appearance unlocks for other specs even if you haven't gotten the base appearances yet.

Ah, did not know that. Awesome.

The demonology artifact appearances are pretty dope. Pretty unique compared to just like another dagger or another sword.

I'm hoping all the allied races music will be included on the BfA soundtrack, like the above void elf theme, even though it technically came out before 8.0.

That said, how do they manage to make soundtrack quality improve with every expansion. This should be criminal, Blizzard had consistently pulled off better and better soundtracks for over a decade now.

Really fancy the change of pace and to give my buddy a break as he has primarily tanked the previous 2 expansions.

I hit 74 and suddenly Kara trash is weak as hell I got to 76 in about 40 minutes I can pop tigers fury and king of the jungle and clear an entire room in a few seconds I'm loving this.

I decided to play my warlock today. Logged into darkshire. 2 minutes in, before I leave darkshire, already ganked. Go to do quest. Ganked by another. Go back, ganked by a third. Finally finish quest and turn in. Go to new spot, ganked by another. I was planning on doing 1 level with rested xp, never got there.

Trying to decide what my main will be for BfA, though I expect to be playing very casually this expac. Haven't been following beta or class impressions so how are Frost DK, Frost/Arcane Mage, Affli Warlock, Shadow Priest and Havoc DH looking? I figure my main will be one of those.

ill probably main demo lock (again, finally) because it sounds amazing, I dont even care about the recent nerfs, I just care about the mechanics.

but its killing me I cba to unlock void elves, I hate my dog warlock, they look awesome in their giant armor but their walking and spell animations are shit.

then again, I probably want to reroll kul tiran (if I last that long) so it doesnt really matter.

Yeah, can't wait. If they do world pvp right with scaling etc., I'll keep it enabled for some characters at max level but... most will just have it off.

Back in the day I never minded world pvp. I did my share of ganking as well. BUT, I never sat around low level areas and just griefed people. At least I never did that.

I was really hoping that Mag'Har & Dark Iron would be available pre-expansion, so I could level through the new content on them. Not really looking forward to playing a character (DH that I didn't intend on playing) through the content and grinding the rep just so I can unlock the race I want to play and do it all again.

Either way sticking with Ret as my main, and hopefully if Zandalari end up being able to be Paladins, then I'll ret on Horde side too. Going into the expansion mostly blind for the first time in awhile.

I've been a Prot Paladin in WoD and in Legion. It's my favorite class by far, but I think it might be time for a change. Maybe I'll go Holy and use it as an alt. Probably going to main Frost Mage.

I love trolls, always have, but this expansion is the first one I'm going to shift my priorities to Alliance. Kul'Tiran areas look absolutely great, and the leaked Kul'Tiran druid forms are incredibly appealing. Eager to see what other classes Kul'Tiran humans can be.

Much as I loathe the idea of playing a human race in a fantasy setting, I'd race change to Kul'Tiran for those sweet looking Druid forms.

Yeah seriously. I went to Jade Forest at 80 and I just finished it and ended up at 86. It was a blast and I haven't done the full zone since MoP launched. And that was with only one dungeon!
