Now that KD is the best player in the world today, Bron has next season to turn things around...thats what I'm most excited for next season.

Everyone knows it's the brand above all else. I bleed the Purple and Gold.

You think Walton is a good coach to set up a system if Lakers get Bron, PG, and Kawhi?

PSA: The Utah Jazz will be happy to pillage the Kyle Kuzma or Lamarcus Aldridge scraps that are leftover after the madness. Would even take a Deng contract to make it happen.

Plot twist: Pop comes with Kawhi.

Yeah no one knows what really happened. But its hard for anyone to actually take Kawhi's side when nobody in his camp talks about whats going on at any point. Dude just lets the Spurs and media craft the entire narrative of whats going on. His uncle seems less like some malicious villain and more incompetent than anything

That could be on the Spurs. A reporter (i think it was Ramona Shelburne) talks about how she was speaking to Kawhi at the arena in NY during a Spurs game about 2-3 months before the season ended, and he was being pretty open about how he felt with regards to his injuries. A Spurs official saw this, broke it up and whisked Kawhi away, and from that point on he was never made available to the press again. Could he have gone out on his own and done some kind of interview? Sure. But then he's going against the team, and the "bad teammate" narrative starts to build. Especially when we are talking about going against the Pop/Spurs machine, which has built up so much good will with the fans and the media and are largely seen as infallible.

Zach Lowe talks about how a lot of this stems from the Spurs medical staff badly misdiagnosing a Kawhi leg injury in the past, and he and his team no longer trusting them. If that's true can you blame him? Even if it isn't, does it matter? Like maybe he just no longer likes Pop? I don't know Pop. I've never worked with Pop. I don't think anyone else here has. Who are we to tell him he's wrong? Or maybe he just wants a change of scenery. Why does that make him a villain? He doesn't owe the Spurs fans a thing. He played his ass off for them, helped them win a championship. He is asking for a trade. Which is his right. The Spurs have the right to not trade him if they don't want to. Nobody is owed anything in that situation. It's a business.

The real question is, if Lakers beat Warrior's this year, will KD join the Lakers next year?

Bron, Kawhi, PG13, KD, Deng.

WHAT A LINE UP!

Luke has shown the capabilities of being a really good coach. He is excellent in preparations before the game (game planning, practices, taking time aside to understand each player, etc). However, it's his in game discussions that had me confused more often than I would like, but when he has some talent he can gel them. If Bron is truly buying into playing off ball then Lukes system with Zo, PG, Kawhi, and Bron will without a doubt be the transcendent style of pace and defense Luke wants to play.

they doubted us all year...

It was fear bro. But we humbly waited for this moment. None of this matters without the chip though. The goal is to dethrone KD and the dubs. No excuses once this is all finalized.

Anyways I'm okay with trading Lonzo

I am okay with trading BI

I am NOT okay with trading both

it should be one of them and Kuz that are traded

Keep Hart and the other 2nd overall pick

I have faith in Pelinka tho

On the real though, I would not trade Zo over BI. BI is gonna be real good, but Zo is gonna feast with Bron, PG, and Kawaii on the court with him. Especially if the rumors are true and Bron wants to play offball more.

I agree with what you say. I don't like Kevin Durant's decision, but dude is playing with a team with some of the best culture in basketball, that pass first, what player doesn't want that? Steph will set up screen's, he'll pass the ball, he'll play off ball, he'll take over, if your hot he'll pass it, that's appealing.

The shit LeBron gets is equally BS. He carried the Cavs every year before "the decision", and even if that TV show shit was stupid as fuck, he had every right to leave. Cleveland wasn't putting enough around him imo.

Does Bron want to play off-ball? I feel like he definitely can, and if he has an option he should.

But if you can only keep only one I'd say Ingram. Dude seems to be cold blooded and doesn't shy away from big moments. Your gonna need that.

Either way, as long as you have Lonzo or Ingram you guys should be good.

It was especially funny when Kyrie recently made news for not signing an extension with Boston, and instead testing free agency, and then the stuff about the Knicks started bubbling up. Like, the guy who Kyrie replaced in Boston was tossed aside like a used condom after playing through a bad hip and a dead sister for them, and people are surprised he's not in any rush to pledge undying loyalty to them?

Despite some spurs fans posts over the season, Kawhi leaving is the least surprising thing in the world. It became clear as that situation grew worse over the year.

Watch us trade BI, Zo, and Hart just because I posted that

kill me brehs

monkeypaw.gif

I'm totally not okay with trading both.

RC Buford salivated over Kuz before last years draft so he alone has more value than a lot of people realize.

The package will for sure be Kuz and BI or Zo, with bs fillers (TB, Zu, pick)

In this hypothetical Bron/Kawhi/PG lineup, Hart could very easily start at the one. Solid defender and shooter, and heady player.

To keep it 10000% with y'all, Zo has to stay above all else for the style of pace I know the real ones are envisioning once everything clears up July 1st.

But I believe as a pure individual talent, BI is going to be better than Zo in the future.

Question is who plays the 5 for this team?

Finding a 3 and D PG, or even using Zo or Hart should be easy.
