Meh, no thanks. The ongoing arcs have not been terrible at all.

And they still do plenty of MOTW episodes.
Yeah, I feel like MOTW episodes have been ass for a few years now because of the low budget and massive power creep. Oh, look, another human with fangs. Angel blade his ass and move on.

It's like being level 99 and going back to the first zone.

I think they still make some good ones but, honestly, I was way more invested in the British Men or Letters and Apocalypse World arcs over the past two years.

Disappointed in this year's finale, however, where as I thought last year's one of the best in the series.

I just had a really weird thought.

The Gabe/Rowena thing came out of nowhere, but maybe...
What if Rowena is pregnant?

Its something they would do, especially now that we know she does bu Sam's hand. All the more tragic if she survived the birth and then died a short time later.

Also would help with her 'I was a terrible mom." Thing

Finally watching the newest season (after keeping up for like five episodes and falling off) and goddamn Rowena I'm so glad you're back.

And Gabriel, but he immediately bounced (where I'm at, anyway, I'm sure he'll be back before the season's over).

This has been great!

Bring back Crowley he he he.

Another Jack running around, shit would go off the wall.

We might see him on another Lucifer-heavy show soon.

Aaaaaaaaand done. Gimme more!

Dean lookin' good in that new outfit. And that last freezeframe, haha, wow, could you be more cheesy.

Gotta say, I wish they did a lot more with the whole alternate worlds thing. Sure laid a lot of groundwork for "whatever the fuck we want" in the future, but I dunno.

Anyway the Scooby Doo episode is basically the greatest forty minute block of television ever.

Well I'm all caught up now. I went through the seven episodes I had left on my days off this week. The only thing I've saved was the one episode I had watched before and couldn't bring myself to delete: Scoobynatural. I want to watch that at least one more time.

I'm torn on this season. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't, and it was too heavy on story. There weren't enough good monster of the week episodes, but that part of the show did have some pretty good moments this year. Too much time was spent on the whole alternate reality thing, a lot of which was boring up until the very end. Some of those parts were very, very dull.

It got better as it ramped up towards the end, but I would've liked it if all of the last several episodes weren't so story heavy. All seven were. I started with the one with the monster in the flapper's body that they unknowingly rescue from its ritual chamber.

Michael fucking Dean over and Dean becoming Michael makes sense canonically, but I worry that it will severely hurt the monster of the week aspect of next season if there is much of one.

I'll miss Mark Pellegrino, who had a lot of great comedic timing, and liked Rowena a bit more at the end of the season but still wish they'd use her less.

I believed he wasn't dead for this long, I'll believe it again.
#gabesnotdead

It would be a complete waste to bring him back in a shocking way -- including diving into his past with the Loki episode -- after all this time just to kill him again. (And poor writing.)

He seemed really surprised and worried when he found out that angels were almost extinct. I'm hoping that we find out he faked his death again so that he could return to Heaven and try to lead/save them in an act of trying to do something genuinely good and unselfish.

Shooting of season 14 begins next week.

One thing I'm hoping for is that they calm the fuck down on the character returns and resurrections. How many were there in season 13, seven or eight I think ? Ridiculous. Makes the show look like a uninventive fanservice machine and makes sure the audience doesn't feel a thing whenever characters die since they'll just be brought back anyway.

There were definitely a fuckload of 'em. But I dunno the show isn't one I've ever taken very seriously, so I just think it's super fun.

Plus Rowena's been better than ever, to me at least.

Main thing I hope for is they play with the alternate universes more. Which I already said above, but hey. :P

There's campiness and then there's straight-up self-parody. A couple of character returns per season is fine, it's still surprising. When you start expecting one every three episodes, that's when it gets stupid.

It definitely was Rowena's best season, but she's among the least problematic returns. They just shouldn't have killed her (again) in the first place, especially off-screen.
The very questionable ones to me are Ketch (one-shot character that only belonged in the self-contained BMOL storyline), Charlie/Bobby (bringing alternate world characters here is just a very cheap way to get characters they regret killing ; also please god stop bringing Bobby back every fucking season), and worst of all Gabriel. Dude returns for three useless episodes then gets offed in the most anticlimatic way. Fuck off with that. If you're going to bring back such an iconic character at least do it right.

I'd be very surprised if we ever got back to the AU, since, well, no one from our world is stuck in it, and they've established that those who made the jump are fine staying in our world.

I like Ketch but I'll 100% agree that Charlie and Bobby were/are absolutely unnecessary.

Gabriel I loved coming back and then... yeah. Why kill him off again so quickly? I'm sorta hesitant to believe he's actually dead, though. But... maybe he is?! lolllllllllll

It's less "the" alternate universe and more "other" alternate universes. Like the giant land, or whatever they called it. I forget. (Google sez: The Bad Place!) Tons of potential with those wormholes going elsewhere.

Of course then there's also the void, where Cas was. I loved the not-Cas guy's mannerisms. He's such a good actor.

And the elder god nonsense, though the Leviathans did that already kinda.

...Anyway!!

Comic con trailer was cool, I stopped watching 2 seasons back, when Lucifer was the president?

Have I missed much?

No idea why they're calling it a trailer, this is a sizzle reel. They did show a scene of episode 14x01 which may be leaked by a kind soul in the coming days.

It featured Michael/Dean trying to get a sense of how our world works, by asking questions to a man of faith.

I think it was meant to get more people interested in the show while giving a little backstory of the previous season? Why'd they include the awful Archangel fight scene D: they could've just shown them in the air and then being stabbed, the jump from Jensen like he's a goddamn werewolf is so cringy.

Also maybe alt-michael will go on a monster hunt killing spree? Which is why they had the first part of stop all the evil. Perhaps Alt-Michael promised that to Dean.

Any chance we'll see a Scooby Natural 2 down the line? I was hoping we'd hear something about it at comic con since it was a huge success and it seemed like the cast had fun with it lol.

That would be amazing. I remember them saying they wanted to do a Murder on the Orient Express type episode as well, but that it'd be too expensive.

I'd take either one to be honest.

Yea apparently it did really well in ratings and in merchandise sales too, so hopefully down the line, maybe next season or the eventual final season?

http://comicbook.com/tv-shows/2018/...air-its-scooby-doo-crossover-again-in-august/

While "ScoobyNatural" might sound like a weird idea on paper, fans got pumped pretty quickly and it became a big enough deal that Warner Bros. TV actually made and sold merchandise -- which sold out at Hot Topic and was scalped on ebay within days of its release.

No spinoff coming. Pedowitz fears the franchise only works with Jared and Jensen.
