Well I'm all caught up now. I went through the seven episodes I had left on my days off this week. The only thing I've saved was the one episode I had watched before and couldn't bring myself to delete: Scoobynatural. I want to watch that at least one more time.
I'm torn on this season. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't, and it was too heavy on story. There weren't enough good monster of the week episodes, but that part of the show did have some pretty good moments this year. Too much time was spent on the whole alternate reality thing, a lot of which was boring up until the very end. Some of those parts were very, very dull.
It got better as it ramped up towards the end, but I would've liked it if all of the last several episodes weren't so story heavy. All seven were. I started with the one with the monster in the flapper's body that they unknowingly rescue from its ritual chamber.
Michael fucking Dean over and Dean becoming Michael makes sense canonically, but I worry that it will severely hurt the monster of the week aspect of next season if there is much of one.
I'll miss Mark Pellegrino, who had a lot of great comedic timing, and liked Rowena a bit more at the end of the season but still wish they'd use her less.
