Ended up with GTA 5 and Grim Dawn + expansion.
I am a shame for my turn-based and RPG persona I try to craft.

Let's see until the end of the sale if Endless Space 2 and Tyranny can win me over.

Oh nooo, I'm sorry you're going to experience Silent Hill with the worst game in the series.

Yeah I know it's not the best, my friend has played them all and said it's not bad but definitely not the highlight. But AFAIK it's the only one available on PC, it's one of those series I'd love to get a proper remake so I could play it properly.

Picked up Trails of Cold Steel 2 to show Xseed some love, even though I'm in the middle of the first game and probably won't get to the second for god knows how long.

Also finally grabbed Age of Decadence. I need an RPG that isn't 60+ hours long in my life, as well as some cynical grognard bullshit to balance out all the power of friendship from ToCS.

Thats generally the case. The summer sales are always good. People think though like every game should be .01$ or something because that one time ##### was on sale for a cheap deal l because of ####.

Is Total War: Warhammer a good entry point to both Total War and Warhammer (especially lore-wise) series?

FF12 is already at -50%. It's a good bargain for a port of this quality. Pretty much one of the few times Square-Enix put actual work to fit the demands of the PC playerbase (21:9, arbitrary resolutions). I don't think it'll go lower than that for a long time.

I've heard a lot a of bad things about MvC Infinite but as someone who really enjoyed the other games in the series and doesn't play competitively, is it worth $20?

If you've played enough MVC3, have friends who would play and the price is fine with you its worth a look. Story Mode is better than MVC3s imo but rest of single player options are iffy.

It'll likely go on 66% at the most within a year if not later this year on their online store.

Steam store probably not within 2 years.

Any good online co-op games to play with someone that doesn't require that much in terms of graphics? So far, I have Don't Starve Together.

Well, 2,3 and 4 are technically available on PC... as less-than-stellar ports with a physical only release.

Does anyone know if steam is the best place to buy the DCS modules? It seems that they don't work with copies bought on the dev's store.

Technically there are PC versions for SH2 and SH3, but good luck trying to find a copy that isn't $100+.
Ah, c'est la vie

Enjoy the soundtrack at least, and try not to think too hard about the story.

Good low prices are always more than a year after launch

So I'm thinking about getting Assassin's Creed Rogue, but I was wondering if I should also get Freedom Cry as well or should I just skip it?

*Available on Steam, there are physical versions of Silent Hill 2, 3, & 4 available. Since it's fucking Konami those have never come to Steam though.

Homecoming is my least favorite mainline Silent Hill game, BUT it's not absolutely terrible or anything. It's got it's moments and good points. Just know the game is more Silent Hill The Movie: The Game than a regular Silent Hill game. It has a lot more in common with the Silent Hill film than it does with the rest of the series, I'm convinced at one point Homecoming was a game tie-in for the film. Just know if you end up disliking or being meh on it that it's not representative of the series as a whole, but I think you'll be fine as detaching itself from the rest of the series it's still a pretty decent little B-Horror game.

I loved it, but I'm a bit of an AC fanboy... however this will sound weird - I can't really remember anything that happened in it. Did you play AC4: Black Flag? It's basically a side-story to that, not really related to Rogue... so I'd say play Black Flag first if you need to pick between that and Freedom Cry.

I was really surprised at Rogue when i finally got around to playing it. I thought it was excellent and felt bad it seemed to get lost being on the last-gen consoles. At least now it has had its PC port & remasters, etc. If you did play 4 and liked it, you'd most likely love Rogue, it's the same mix of AC & naval stuff, just in a northern setting.

Edit: Just a heads up, if you do in fact have AC4: Black Flag, Freedom Cry as a DLC to that (instead of standalone) is a few bucks cheaper.

Anyone here played NightCry? I love the Clock Tower games, but the Steam reviews are holding me back a little.

God, Steam sales are such videogame savagery

Is The Evil Within 2 worth more or less than Hollow Knight + The Surge?

Is an ELEX a better value than Prey + Alien: Isolation?

Cities: Skylines + Enter the Gungeon + Vanquish might trounce any of those options for the same money.

I haven't passed on GTAV for a trillion years because the price itself is outrageous, but the opportunity cost in these sales is always killer.

Picked up What Remains of Edith Finch. No clue how far in I am, but this has got to be the most original, interesting "walking sim" I've ever played. Sorry Life is Strange, you've been surpassed one hundred fold. Telltale shod be triple ashamed.

Edit: I made it seem like Telltale made life is strange, but meant both dontnod and telltale should be scared.

Picked up the following:

* Ghost Recon Wildlands
* Reflex Arena
* UT 2K4

The last two were for a LAN party/birthday I'm going to, but I'm intrigued with Wildlands, especially for only $20.

I don't think they should be scared, Edith Finch is more walking simulator while TellTale and Dontnod are more "Narrative Game". But I agree, Edith Finch is an amazing walking sim and maybe one of if not the best to be made so far. Great story, magical moments, interesting and detailed setting, great music... It honestly is an amazing game.

I gave it 10/10, it's a perfect example of the genre.

Really tempted to move a lot of ubisoft games and gta 5 to steam so i can have all of my games in one gaming space (except annoying ass EA Origin). And the auto updating seems way more convenient than rockstar/ubiplay.

That's not a good price for Evil Within 2. You can often pick it up for around $20 on Amazon. I bought my copy from New Egg for $15 with free shipping.

It's currently $18.69 on cdkeys, but I've often seen it for under $17.

On the contrary that is a good price for The Surge. Hollow Knight seems average.

I'm interested in The Surge as well, but I feel like the moment I buy it, it's going to appear in a Humble Monthly.

Hmmmm... Tempting. But it's still a bit too high for what I'm willing to pay for a Denuvo game.

Rex Rocket is a tough-as-nails Mega Man-ish and excellent. Not on sale for some reason, but it's $5.

20XX is supposed to be really good and basically Mega Man PC.

Odallus is perfect if you're looking for something pre-Metroidvania Castlevania, and pretty unbeatable at that price.

Castle in the Darkness and Momodora are both fantastic games (and even better values) for some light Metroidvania-platforming.

Tempted to pick up Assassin's Creed Origins, but even with all the good stuff I've heard about it I think I might prefer to skip it (until it's a lot cheaper) and get AC:Odyssey first.

Was a big fan of the bait stuff from AC:4, and the added dialog system stuff seems cool. I feel like if I get Origins I might burn out on it before Odyssey comes out...

Can someone recommend anything that will cure an itch for Rogue Legacy style gameplay? I don't just want the roguelike part, I want the permanent progression aspect as well. I know a ton of games with the first but not as many with the second.

Thanks! Roguelike rules 20XX out, but I'll check out the others.
