Is anyone here having Let's Go effect their playstyle a bit?

atm I have over 20 of mons like Nidoran (both genders), Abra, Goldeen, etc cuz of their Hidden Abilities, in case Let's Go has abilities, because as stupid as it sounds, I want to have competitive stuff on my Let's Go copy lol.

Also, I caught this beauty yesterday. I can't believe I found a wild Dragonite and it had usable stats AND moves!

(Also yes I know the battery is disgusting, but realize I was charging in the library after a long day, and then that thing appeared out of nowhere so I rushed to get it. Maybe I should get a battery pack lol...)

Yeah I'm not too worried because I got a 98% yesterday and it's useless anyways.

I wonder if Snorlax means we'll get Blissey as a research breakthrough soon.

I don't think they are doing the dogs yet due to the Global Challenges they are doing in July which might have legendaries as a reward, maybe

I like having a chance at acquiring more legacy move Mons, so the Snorlax breakthrough reward is exciting for me. Hopefully we get Shadow Claw Gengar someday.

Body Slam or not, the research breakthrough mons are level 15 so to be honest I don't feel like dumping that much rare candy and stardust into a Snorlax. Pretty disappointing.

Yeah, Snorlax sucks as a breakthrough research reward. I'm getting bored with the game again. No special event going on to get shinies and a really bad legendary is making me unmotivated to play. They need a new special event asap.

Anniversary is coming up. We already know we're going to spend a few weekends getting research goals for multipliers.

I might take advantage of the Snorlax breakthrough just because I don't have ANY good, fat defenders atm (10 KM eggs just have not been kind to me on that front lol). I got plenty of stardust too even though level 15 is a very annoying place to start. That being said, I guess I'm just one of those weirdos who don't care about shinies. Legit the only reason I go out of my way to get them is because I want to trade them later for stuff like Mewtwo lol (ONE of these days I'll get an Ex raid pass I swear)

I'm happy in a "oh nice" sense when I get a shiny but yeah I think the mainline games ruined shinies for me and I just can't bring myself to care as much. I just wanna catch 'em all and have solid attackers for raids at this point. The gym system doesn't really reward needing a Snorlax or Blissey as much as I thought it would. I've been finding that Alolan Exeggutor is probably one of my favourites to stick in gyms. Grass/Dragon is nice typing to counteract what's super effective against the stuff I normally see in gyms.

Regice raids are still well attended here, but shiny Groudon would be better appreciated.

I know the friendship stuff has been unstable about counting the steps along the way but after a raid this morning I leveled up to the 2nd point with one of the other people there - it gave me a short 10,000 XP swirl then the screen that we are now 'great friends' and a page with the bonuses that i had to click through to continue.

No idea if that's a one off for the first time or it intends to do that for all of them (if its all I can see a lot of waiting and clicking through stuff after raids!)

Does the 95 (I assume its 96?) have a 15 attack ?

But if you select the second tab - fill in kyogre and your attack stat then it will tell you what breakpoints you have and how much you'll need to get there.

If you dont have a powered up Kyogre then its worth having one anyway as with Waterfall / Hydro pump its the best water attacker in the game

Although there are some things I've powered up the lower IV thing just to get something either for a Gym or a specific battle Kyogre is something you will probably use quite a bit in raiding and so its *probably* going to be better to power up the higher IV one

What is the Atk on that 96% Kyogre? If it's at least a 14, yes level it up. Kyogre is the best Water Pokemon in the game by far. It hits hard and it's somewhat tanky too. Hell, even if 13 Atk, go ahead.

Assuming your at least level 28 then try and get it to level 30 (the second power up once the stardust cost switches to 5,000) which is the point where the amount it goes up for each powerup starts dropping off

Also use Fast / Charge TM's to give it waterfall and Hydro Pump (if it does not have them already)

I went through my Kyogre candy pretty quicky, but used my Rare Candy stash for the first time.

Hooray for me! After lamenting the inability to find a local group online for raids and being subsequently limited to solo ones I just happened to pass by a local and easily accessed business where a Regice raid was close to popping. Parked, took a look around, and got to chatting with a couple hardcore players who added me to their local Facebook group. I failed to catch Regice, but I got 6 rare candies with the potential for a lot more to come.

Got my first Mewtwo today, and was able to get my girlfriend her first too. Solid outing after almost missing the drop time due to work. Managed to get another Regice right after too! Haven't been raiding much lately so not close on any great friends yet, but it is what it is, should hopefully work on that a bit over the next month.

I'll go through here and add some folks, look out for TeegsD

just missing Lunatone, Suicune (god damn you Snorlax research breakthru), Tropius and Torkoal now.

I am loving this trading update. I've already got special trades lined up for the next few days. Gonna finally add a Mr. Mime to the Dex, so all I need to finish up Gen 1 will be a Kangaskhan. I'm also making more progress on my shiny collection. I'm focusing on getting my second or third shinies in a family so I can have a shiny of each evolution. Once I get my friendship level up within our local community, I can start adding new shinies.

And after raids, I've just been trading random stuff for progress on my distance medal. The Alolans I've recieved from people on here have been great for that. :)

But mostly I like that a complete Dex seems attainable now and it has motivated me to get stuff to trade with.

Now if only they'd get rid of that gift opening limit, I think that + the gift nerf is a bit extreme

(Especially since the only reason why I want local friends is to get my hands on a Mewtwo, Im STILL trying to get a Ex Raid pass lol)

I was able to send out a gift to all 35 people on my list today. I think I'm at the maximum amount of friends I can handle over lunch walks.
