Bill Simmons is insufferable on his latest podcast. He said the Lakers should trade Lonzo, Ingram, and Kuzma for Kawhi.

Boston homer wants a weakened Lakers and wants a player he likes (Lonzo) on a different team

very surprising

I guess that's ok if they're targeting the 2019 free agent market, but I don't even know who would be available and I have no idea what the Clips front office is doing.

I can only listen to him for non-sports related things.
Yes his interviews with celebs and the like are pretty top notch.

As for basketball pods and the ringer, I really like weekly NBA show with Chris Vernon & Kevin O'Connor. Though I was pretty tripped out when I found out they were two white guys lol, their voices don't match how they look at all.

We need four super teams, two per conference. Then we ignore the season and playoffs until the conference finals.

I'm not sure if fair is the right word to use to describe that but I don't think it would be a good trade for the Celtics to move Tatum for Kawhi.
I know Tatum had a very special playoff run but I don't think there is that much difference in his potential and Brandon Ingram's. Especially if their career is gonna play out under coach Pop.

I think Ingram is good but I think Tatum is already better than him while being (slightly) younger and with more years left on his rookie contract.

Queue deadman telling us that he's a system player that was outplayed by Kuzma.

Los Angeles, CA
just need to do proper seeding for playoffs.

While it had long been viewed as a foregone conclusion that George would sign with the Lakers, indications are he's giving serious consideration to remaining with the Thunder. It's believed the Lakers and Thunder are the two teams George is keyed in on.

Part 3 of his series on ESPN won't air until some time after George has made his free agency decision.

So does this mean he's decided already or part 3 hasn't been filmed yet. I guess we'll know if he has cornrows in it. :P

Marc Stein predicted that PG stays in OKC, leans Lebron to the lakers (this was before LeBron opted out), and Kawhi is traded for sure but doesn't know what team

Paul george staying in OKC would make close to no sense career wise but hey good for him if that's his decision. It makes the Lakers plans tougher but it is what it is. Good luck to him.

That's too much. But if it's a 3 team trade, where they get rid of Deng at the same time, I could see it happening.
If the Lakers got assurance from Lebron and PG once they lock in Kawhi, would they have to dump those guys anyway? Maybe Lebron or PG would carve a Lonzo shaped hole in their contracts.

Also I need to say I fucking hate Dan Patrick he's a fucking crusty old piece of shit

that at every given opportunity has not only shat on Lonzo but the Lakers as a whole

He has a fucking monotonous voice and thinks he's superior than everyone else

that motherfucker is a living bowel movement

Just saw Nichols on the Jump say that if Lebron signed another 1 and 1 with Cleveland, he's projected to make less money than if he had just opted in to his current contract. Is this true?

Deng makes 18mil/year. That's too much of a pay cut, don't see LeBron taking.

I could see him taking a little pay cut so they could get more help, no to pay Deng tho.

I'll bite. What if Kawhi said he was going to bounce 110% after the season to Boston? Would you trade Ingram 1 for 1 to get one year of Kawhi to have nothing after?

Not to mention we have Tatum for longer than you would have Ingram until a new contract is necessary.

Of course you don't do the move. In regards to value though, a 1 for 1 in a Kawhi deal, whether if it's Boston or LA, you do the deal and you don't look back.

Tired of folks acting like Tatum has more talent value and upside when Kawhi is about to enter his prime.
