Or LeBron just wanted to play in LA.

Yea I think this is it. It's not so much Magic as Lakers had a decent team and LeBron wanted to be in LA with his family. Obviously if LA front office was complete shit Bron would say fuck that, but he didn't come because of some allure Magic has.

Alrigt Cavs Era Let's think what the team needs to do.

Some questions:

1: Who should be released?
2: With Lebron leaving will Love be traded?
3: Any possible free agents?
4: Starting lineup?
5: Can we put Lebron's number 23 in the rafters?

1.) You guys should release anyone you can and take on bad contracts to get draft picks. I realize that may not be possible this year, but I say tank and get a few 1-3 round picks.

2.) Love should be traded, but I feel like Cavs GM knew Bron was leaving for awhile now. Maybe they wanna see how far the team can leave without Bron?

5.) Do it when he retires or in his last season.

This upcoming season we are going to find out which of these young Lakers prospects are real or not. It's one thing to put up numbers on a trash team with zero expectations, but now there are going to face pressure like they have never felt before. Out of the group of players I would bet good money that Ingram is the real deal. That's the guy I would hold onto if I were the Lakers.

I love Dipo and the Pacers, but let's be real. There barely batter than the Nuggets or Pelicans, much less the Rockets, Lakers, Warriors, Jazz, Thunder etc.

Main reason I said that was because people like to shit on the Pacers a lot. I'm not a fan of the team, but they have talent. Just like Nuggets or Pelicans. However I agree there's a steep drop off soon after that. East is definitely weaker than the West.

Boogie should not be a target for the Lakers, he's inefficient and has never contributed to winning basketball. A smarter option would be going after 1yr deals for guys like KCP or Avery Bradley then rolling over cap space for Kawhi or another superstar such as Butler in 2019 since now LeBron's locked in for the long term

Also VeePs I respect that. If I could I'd have put Oladipo First team All-NBA, its crazy that he was only 3rd team despite his two-way production on a team which overperformed relative to expectations more than anyone else in the league

Philly offseason looks so underwhelming now, are they even trying?

they gonna looks ok to even good if they resign ersan and beli, but now? wtf they doing

Well they are easily the second best team in the East. Maybe they are just waiting on 2019 FA

Trading Love makes sense for CLE I just don't know who is in the market for him that will be willing to give up anything of significance. Like, he's been a decent player, so teams would be willing to take him if the Cars just wanted to dump him, but I don't see anyone giving back real assets. And the Cavs are so over the cap anyway that dumping his salary won't help them much anyway. Maybe they can wait after FA shakes out and see if they can catch a desperate team slipping or something. Cleveland's best bet is to just ride out these bad contracts, take on other teams bad contracts for assets, and collect lottery picks for the next 2-3 years.

Now someone talk about it.. JR prolly gonna had mental breakdown now, dude seem admiring Lebron to the point almost worshiping him.. but that chill him down in Cleveland, and now he stranded in there

Evan Turner + assets (maybe Zach Collins and a 1st) makes some sense especially with the noise about Dame being disgruntled with the franchise's direction.

LeBron gave up on winning. Started by claiming 6 plus titles with the Heat and is just chasing stats now.

It's silly to call Lakers title contenders. They have decent talent but nowhere near the experience or level of even the Cavs squad. More potential and youth, yes.

But they won't get past Warriors for sure or Rockets, and Pelicans, Jazz will be tough too.

I think people are over estimating LBJ's ability to carry a mediocre team. He did so with an okay squad in Cleveland but he played against weaker competition in the east

If Cleveland was in the west conference all these years they'd get to the semifinals max

Spurs gotta be pissed, they had so much leverage yesterday dangling Kawaii around like the Lakers need him so they can sign Lebron. Life comes at you fast.

This Lakers team is infinitely more talented than the Cavs

It was all bullshit. Woj is trying to spin this now and saying the Spurs have MORE leverage now because the Lakers will be desperate to win. He's full of shit.

Congrats to LA, but this move clearly says that LeBron clearly values fame over winning. Even with Kawhi, this team is forth at best in the West. Imo, Warriors, Rockets, Jazz and Thunder are all better.
