I was ok with the second cancellation as they knew exactly what they wanted to do w/ it and the characters.Only time I've been seriously upset over a cancellation was Southland, that show was fucking brilliant.

Yeah, when they renewed almost everything else despite it beating only Life Sentence in the ratings. The overseas Netflix deal is probably the biggest reason it's still alive, plus CBS.
Netflix pushed it hard internationally, it's even in 4K.I have no idea who would be watching it overseas. Did it get renewed?
I don't think it's a crappy option. If the actress wants out of if the writers don't have any meaningful journeys to send Caroline in, then I'm all for them killing her off. Hell, it might actually be the best option they got if they wanna move forward in Mystic Falls and sign the school and Caroline not being around when her twins are there.Honestly, not sure what she's said about wanting to be out or not. It's very possible, as she does have a young child. And I would understand that. My opinion is if she wanted out though, they shouldn't have even tried to pick up the show. Caroline made a point to re-open the school personally, with Alaric. Her children are going to this school, she should be there. Just doesn't make sense she wouldn't be there. The only other thing that would make sense is if they will kill her off in the final season of The Originals, which that is a crappy option, as well.
I lump recommending Gotham and Agents of Shield both in the same boat. Though the hardcore fans of the respective comic book companies will both relentless go to bat for either, which is constantly amusing.

The difference being AoS is good.I lump recommending Gotham and Agents of Shield both in the same boat. Though the hardcore fans of the respective comic book companies will both relentless go to bat for either, which is constantly amusing.

And you'd be wrong to do so. Also it has never had anything to do with the corny af Marvel vs. DC rivalry.
Neither are great shows, but they have a lot of fans on enthusiast boards like this one who constantly recommend them when there is so much better out there in the "Peak TV" landscape.
Are the books even still going? That Originals spinoff sounds a bit more in the vein of a reboot and I'm intrigued.
I've seen the vast majority of AoS so I feel like I'm speaking from a place of substance by saying it's really not. Why did I keep watching? Because I'm invested in Marvel stuff in general and I kept hoping it would get better... and it did, but let's be real, it very rarely touched being good. It's very "watchable" which is why it "works" as a fluff show, but if it didn't have the Marvel branding (and they did away with all pretext of it actually being connected to the MCU long ago) I can't imagine people would really prop up this show like they do.
Yes Season 4 was in fact "Good" in an enjoyable way but the other seasons all range from mediocre to straight bad with a ton of poor writing and acting plus saddled with a constantly low budget.
They were supposed to have a spinoff. The pilot got filmed and then ABC decided not to pick it up.Idk I kind of fell off Agents of shield after Hunter and Bobby left, the whole spies goodbye? Felt like the end to me

I fuck with Jerome, the actor turned something that could have been horrible to one of the best Jokers ever

Didn't notice until now that Charmed is from the Jane the Virgin people. Nice.
Wasn't Lucifer heading toward something pretty big?Now Fox cancels Lucifer? That's it, i am officially done with TV shows until they have ended and have a proper ending.
Not investing wasted time anymore. But for the love of god at least spare Gotham. SPARE IT YOU SON OF A BITCH
I will watch Once Upon A time firstI'm in a good mood after the iZombie renewal so I'll let you get away with this one.
By the way go watch Gotham.
Yup.I fuck with Jerome, the actor turned something that could have been horrible to one of the best Jokers ever

Terrible, terrible idea to even try for the spinoff in the first place.

Taste is subjective, but as a fan of the show I gotta disagree with you.
It was. For them.
I always tune out what someone says this, because it's inevitably always followed up with a statement that implies everyone is just lying to themselves.
We prop the show up because it's good.
CBS has ordered 5 new series
Magnum PI
The Red Line
God Friended Me
The Code
Fam
Remember the May 2013 shocker when CBS passed on Beverly Hills Cop sequel pilot featuring Eddie Murphy? We have a similar situation this year with the Bad Boys offshoot pilot LA's Finest, toplined by the films' Gabrielle Union and fellow movie starJessica Alba.
NBC has opted not to go forward with the project, from Sony Pictures TV., Jerry Bruckheimer Television, Primary Wave, and 2.0 Entertainment. I hear the producers are already fielding interest in the property from other networks.
While not off the charts, LA's Finest had garnered solid buzz and is a rare marquee drama title with two diverse female leads — something we don't have on broadcast TV. It is not entirely clear whether NBC's decision was based on creative or business reasons (NBC had been in negotiations with Sony TV on four projects — two pilots and two current series), but the answer is likely in some combination of the two.
That's Jeremiah.
His identical twin brother.
Get your facts straight.
I'm glad you guys enjoy the show. But I also think if you really believe Agents of Shield is a great show you need to watch more TV.
I'll leave it at that though because I'm really not trying to antagonize/start something here.
