Right? It's weird that no one else has even tried besides a few indies. Just money on the table.

If this hits Switch (most likely will), it'll be the first Tony Hawk game on a portable system since 2006's Project 8 PSP. 14 freaking years without skateboarding on the go.
Olli Olli is on the Switch and there's been plenty of ios & android skateboarding games.
Tbh Tony Hawk would be pretty perfect for a game as a service, they got tons of maps they could reuse from their earlier games, like each of the old games could be a "season" plus outfits and skateboard decals they can sell you. Surprised Activision hasn't done this sooner.
It's because they are spending all the money on perfecting game engine!!5 songs from the same relatively unknown band? I think whatever this is people should temper expectations because that doesn't say high budget production to me.

There hasn't been a good Tony Hawk game since 2005. Why do you y'all do this to yourselves?

That's Skate 3. Skateboard simulator engine with arcade objectives. Really turning it into the opposite of what the franchise was supposed to be. God i hated Skate 3.
Oh FFS this never even crossed my mind.
Holding on to what I am
PRETENDING I'M A SUPERMAN
What's weird is that all the mobile games were REALLY good. Like, the GBA ones were surprisingly good adaptions for being sprite-based. And Sk8land on the DS was straight up great. If this hits Switch (most likely will), it'll be the first Tony Hawk game on a portable system since 2006's Project 8 PSP. 14 freaking years without skateboarding on the go.
