User warned: post-count shaming
I really enjoy how different AEW is in the ring to WWE and all the PPVs I've watched besides World's End have been enjoyable but it's depressing that the owner undercuts all the good work that's been done so regularly. The company would literally be better off if Tony never said another word in public ever again.

You have 14 posts on this here website and 12 of them are on the Containment Thread so apparently you have a bigger problem with someone calling WWE the Harvey Weinstein company than with the Harvey Weinstein company itself and the reasons the comparison is actually pretty apt.

TK needs to stop short changing his company. Aew is the coke of professional wrestling. Pepsi sucks.

If you actually bothered to look at my profile pic you'd have noticed it was taken at All In, an event I flew to another country to attend I would add. I already have my tickets for this year's All In booked.

I watch both WWE and AEW and this type of tribalistic stuff is why discussing the industry online is such an utter mess. That I have to Papers, Please a very milquetoast opinion on Tony saying something that, however true with regards Vince, hurts AEW as a brand outside the bubble really just makes me despair.

I do think Fletcher's hair is bad now but also man's dating Skye Blue and having a hell of a run of great matches, he's clearly doing fine

I absolutely cannot believe how much he looks like Alex Reynolds. I keep doing doubletakes.

disliking TK for being outspoken is totally fine. I don't think it actively hurts my enjoyment of AEW unless he crosses lines, but I respect other people thinking that way.

I dunno if this is it, though. calling TK a idiot for like, being outspoken about ratings is normal.

But in the vein of broken clocks being right twice a day, calling WWE out about some really black mark stuff that isn't going away anytime soon isn't something I think people should actively condermn, especially in the context of a kayfabe spot in a NFL draft. Cringeworthy? yeah. Is it like, "oh no, tony, you have no right to say this, why did you say this" ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My two hot takes for the page:

1. Tony going "AEW is Pepsi, so that means WWE is Coke the Weinstein company" is a funny set-up and rug pull.

2. Fletcher is just waiting for an opportunity to cut, shave, or better yet, burn off that blonde mop of hair, go bald and embrace the full viscious ugly bastard inside him like a less beefy but still beefy and more athletic Kane.

Tony Kahn is a team owner the "NFL" isn't going to do a whole lot to him over something like that. He's Roger Goodell's boss.

NFL probably also loves the thing bringing more eyes to the boring parts of the draft as well in their network. The entire story of the draft normally ends the first day and then maybe after the draft is over to put some ratings.

Yeah I don't think people realize that I less the other owners vote to do something about this no one at the NFL is going to do shit to a guy who owns 1/3Xth of the league

Yeah Jerry Jones has been sued for sexual assault, Bob Kraft was busted in a prostitution sting, David Tepper is out here throwing beers on fans and snatching hats off people, what Tony did rates pretty low for an NFL owner.

I see the internet is having a normal one. I don't see what some are up in arms about. I mean, it's not about what tastes better. Pepsi is supposed to be the alternative coke. As someone who only drinks soda once per year at Thanksgiving it all tastes like ridiculously carbonated sugar water to me. 🤷‍♂️

Apt comparison all the way around. I don't see how any of it is controversial.

The real AEW hair crime is Kyle O'Reilly cutting his hair short again. Dude looked great with the longer hair

It's amazing to me that it's only a problem or a distraction it goes one way and not the other. Like where was all this concern about trips comments or punks comments?
The people who are 'very concerned' or 'cant enjoy the product' seem to have no problem enjoying a product whose head booker days after the VKM lawsuit broke said they had a very good week.

Kenny's gonna use his TV time to share his SF6 tier list with us, isn't he?

When you're as good of a wrassler as KOR or Fletcher you can have whatever haircut you want. That, and wrassling has a proud tradition of bad haircuts. 🫡

The Elite will probably just get Kenny escorted out the building by security.

I'd have him step out of a car like they did with the Bucks last week and he says hi to a few people in security and one of them stops him after being harassed via earpiece by Okada to prevent him from entering. Kenny asks where's Tony and they're confused and ask him if he had seen last week's Dynamite, which he didn't see in full yet because the audio was too bad to continue (hehe this would never happen but lol). All of a sudden another car pulls up and the scapegoat steps out and says hi to Kenny. Kenny is surprised because while he saw what happened at Dynasty the last thing he knew was that Perry had not officially returned to AEW. Perry tells Kenny him and TK had a nice chat in the ring and he was reinstated and that they made a lot of progress in their relationship (insert scapegoat smirk to camera here). Perry tells him TK is just really under the weather and asked the elite to take over this week. Dunno where to go from here other than him getting laid out backstage and written off for surgery lol.

Of course this all hangs on the implication that Kenny is too busy to watch his own promotions shows lmao. Or even browses the internet lol. Idgaf I ain't a writer.

I miss him so much.

Lethal Trademarked the name last year, let him feud with/annoy Jarrett or something, idk. I was especially fond of how he ran the gimmick for All In 2018 when he was fading in and out of Black Machismo. Refine that a bit and lean more into the comedy than just "Ha, it's Macho Man."

Every time I hear the Pomp and Circumstance opening to his theme I'm so sad he doesn't have the tassel pants on and he's just wearing plain black trunks.

Jay Lethal is one of the best wrestlers on the planet right now and he has basically nothing to do character-wise. I know the Elite and the new signees (rightfully) are the main story work going on right now, but this is the sort of thing that instantly pumps life into your frankly kind of burnt out lower-to-mid card.

Jay Lethal impersonating Macho Man feels like something that would get over way more in WWE than AEW.
I think so too, but I also know not to under estimate the Rampage Sickos that love their Ring of Honor 6 Man Tags and whatnot.

Yeah. It's truly a bummer. But I also know they're realistically never gonna axe him unless something super concrete ever comes of it. If he's gonna be on the show he might as well be entertaining.

I'm such a Double J mark you have no idea. I just love Memphis-style heel work in general. As long as he doesn't get pushed to the top where he kind of flounders, I'll never get tired of watching him.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Satnam Singh.

Random thought but I really hope Kenny uses this time out to figure something out with SEGA and finally gets be a character in a Yakuza game. I was so sure he was going to be in Infinite Wealth.

That would be cool. I love his trooper card in LAD Ishin lol.

Even moreso I want him in SF6. If they have to for whatever reason, I'd be ok if capcom had to make him a new in universe character rather than himself but is literally still just Omega lol. Voice, appearance, the works. He can be a hard hitting, speedy grappler. Omega Gold*. Omega K. I obviously want his actual ring name there but tbh I don't even care I just want him in the game 🤣.

*Why's everything gotta be golden?

Is that like Max's second or third time saying that too? Just trolling fans probably, unless he was telling the truth the last time he said it.
