You want one? Not happy with your current phone?Nah to buy the white xl. I've read the screen isn't blue on the white one for some reason.

I got a Pixel XL, Razer phone, OnePlus 5T, and a Note 8 coming. I just want to buy a panda 2xl to see if it fixes the issues of the blue screen of the black 2xl I bought back in October. I really do need to get rid of some of these though lol
Brooo. Time to sell some of those things damnI got a Pixel XL, Razer phone, OnePlus 5T, and a Note 8 coming. I just want to buy a panda 2xl to see if it fixes the issues of the blue screen of the black 2xl I bought back in October. I really do need to get rid of some of these though lol
Yeah, probably gonna stick with the note 8 or 2xl assuming I can get a coupon for it to purchase and sell the others. Also I'm gonna buy a s9+ most likely here later this month or next when it goes on sale.
Samsung Pay is so good. I just added my loyalty cards on it. I forgot that it was a thing. I had them added to my Android Pay but I stopped using Android Pay because it was hard to find places where I could use it.
That's a lieNah to buy the white xl. I've read the screen isn't blue on the white one for some reason.
Ouch, when did you get it? People with later batches seem not to have it as bad based on some videos I've seen. Maybe I'll just pass on it then.
Got mine in end of November/December. Later batches might be better but mines got a strong shift. You get over it quick thoOuch, when did you get it? People with later batches seem not to have it as bad based on some videos I've seen. Maybe I'll just pass on it then.

As these things mostly are.I have a white XL 2. Noticed the blue in the first couple of days only because of how overblown it was in the media. It's a non issue.
You know you don't need to tap, right? Just being within a few centimetres is fine.
I'm amazed at how many people use contactless and then push their card so hard onto the terminal that it starts to bend.
Good article. Messaging is a big reason to leave Android. It's indicative of Google's failure to fix the obvious because it doesn't help their bottom line. With that perspective, why continue to use the platform?Best Android Police article I've ever read:

As a business minded person, I'm embarrassed that I never considered all the points brought up here. For me, messaging on Android hasn't been a problem, but that's because my friends and I have chatted on Hangouts on group chat and it's worked great. So the problem again with other people. Though I'll say that more and more people I know with iPhones happeneto actually have Hangouts because they chat on Gmail at work and all use Google maps.
If Google decides to push and makes things worse, there's always going to Whatsapp at least.
They need to understand though that Android P will never attract enough iPhone users if they don't figure out the messaging siituation. Updated, more consistent animations are not enough to bring people over.
Have you seen the Pixel 2? The blue shift is very noticeable and absolutely deserves the discussion it received. It's on another level. Is it a deal breaker? To some. But to hand wave it away as a viral problem is off the mark.As these things mostly are.
There's nothing more annoying than someone encountering a problem on their phone, making a post on Reddit about it, which in turn gets put on the "news" sites, only to get picked up by actual news sites.
And before you know it, these tens of users with faulty phones are indicative of build quality out of thousands. It's a shame, really. The only time I've actually seen something like that be true and helpful is with the Note 8.
Android police is a mouthpiece for Google and that article is pathetic .

Not even close.By the same token in-app purchasing is a big reason to leave Apple. UI debacles like Comixology and Amazon pushing you out to a website from the app to make purchases because they're not willing to pay Apple a 30% tax is something that obviously needs to be fixed, and only remains so because it helps Apple's bottom line. With that perspective, why continue to use the platform?
It's plainly wrong to pretend either are better than the other here.
Because they're pushing in another direction (Google Assistant, Camera, AI integrated into their products), offering different functionalitiesGood article. Messaging is a big reason to leave Android. Snapseed? What do you guys recommend for a free photo editor? I've been using Sketch but was wondering if there is anything better.
indeed.
indeed.
for people that already live outside of the bubble due to many international contacts using Whatsapp, the jarring functionality difference in IAP on apps is a significantly worse consumer experience.
The one on the right doesn't look good at all, really hope for them that it's not this year's flagship.Hmm, what's this?
New Xperia? Originally posted in the comments section on Xperiablog it seems

It looks like the original iPad in some ways...
Random problem: a few updates ago Chrome on my OG Pixel, all up to date, started making the bottom navigation button bar white and I can't figure out how to get it back to black. It's an eye-destroyer so I just reverted the updates and I'm running a super old version of the browser now to prevent it. Anyone know how to deal with this other than just using a different browser? I also tried the latest Canary and Chrome Betas but they have the same issue. Surely, this can't be intentional...
Ahh, thank you so much! What a weird, shitty design choice on googie's part.Don't think there's a setting inside of chrome, but you can use custom nav bar application to change it. It's intentional, they did for maps as well.

It was also a prototype too...so fingers crossed that it won't look so...frumpyYeah, it's a bit iffy on appearance. Maybe the actual feel is good? I dunno. I know with the XA2 people said it felt good with a slight curve on the back. I suppose if nothing else a thicker back would allow them more room to put in a larger camera module and larger battery.
Someone had posted this design looks like the Plate + Human design concept that was leaked during that Sony hack a few years back:
If they are still working off of designs conceived 5 years ago then I gotta say that's a bit disappointing.
EDIT.
Just to point out again that the phone on the right is sitting beside a Compact model, so maybe this is the design of the new Compact? If so it may or may not reflect the design of the flagship.
The teaser becomes a straight line near the end though.Well it looks like the model on the left is an Xperia Compact model for comparison. The unit on the right does jive with that teaser posted earlier with the whole curved back. Oh well, wait and see I suppose.
You mean Motorola.Maybe they learnt from essential and have click connectors on the back, and the hump is an extended battery.
In the comments, Grisha says that the picture is of a prototype, and may not represent the final version. Grisha goes on to confirm that there is no 3.5mm headphone jack, and that the fingerprint sensor is located on the rear of the device, much like the Xperia XA2 series.
Our understanding from speaking to our contacts is that the picture is representative of the Xperia XZ2 Compact. The final version will have a slightly smaller bezel on the top of the screen. Ultimately though this is basically the Xperia XZ2 Compact.
Oh wow, just realized this requires ADB access and making this work on Mac is about to make me throw my phone & laptop out a window.Don't think there's a setting inside of chrome, but you can use custom nav bar application to change it. It's intentional, they did for maps as well.

Why the fuck does Google think people want blazing white nav bars burning a hole in their eyes. I'm fucking furious that this isn't easier to sort out. I do appreciate the attempts at help though!
