well it most certainly is!

they even put it in as the match result:

Ironman championship moved at today's Sumida press conference

👑Ironman Heavy Metal Championship Match
<Champion>●Eel Kabayaki vs. Eel Sayaka ○<Challenger>
14:20 Cannibalism
*Eel fails to defend and becomes the 1625th champion.

(blame auto-translate)

Takagi had some words after that:

I feel ashamed that I was unable to do anything after witnessing the horrific scene in broad daylight, where former Ironman Heavy Metalweight Champion Unagi Kabayaki was ripped apart by Unagi Sayaka in front of a large YouTube audience and several members of the media. For more details on what happened, check out the official DDT YouTube channel.

I can't forgive Unagi Sayaka. Defend your Ironman title until the 4/26 Higashin Arena event. I'll definitely get it back.

User Banned (3 Days): Body-Shaming
I am just going to say it but if your shorter than most of the people in the audience you shouldnt be doing a spooky no sell gimmick. His walking around menacing as the announcers try to act like this is some serious situation and his absolutely dwarfed by the people his walking by.

Lio Rush could have been a top star but he just doesnt have the ability to last in a major promotion, the guy lasted 6 months in AEW. His wikipedia article on his run in AEW is amazing

Rossy has made some powerful enemies in Bushiroad, and Tony Khan, and his not Johnny Kitagawa who can use his immense power in the Japanese media to cover it up.

The stuff that's an open secret always disturbs me. It makes me dislike wrestling as a whole.

at a time where some say wrestling journalism is dying, I feel we have to give it up to Bodyslam.net who scored an interview with the GHC National Champion (and soon to be BOSJ contestant) HAYATA:

www.bodyslam.net

Bodyslam.net Exclusive: An Interview With Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC National Champion HAYATA

On April 11th at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Star Navigation 2024 event, HAYATA defeated Jack Morris to become the GHC National Champion for the first time in his career. HAYATA is the first Jr Heavyweight to win the GHC National Title. To secure the victory over Morris, HAYATA held on to the ropes as...

Here is our exclusive interview with the current GHC National Champion HAYATA:

Q: Congratulations on winning the GHC National Championship. How does it feel being the GHC National Champion?

HAYATA: I deserved to get the National title.

Q: You are the first Junior Heavyweight to win that title, does this accomplishment make you proud?

HAYATA: Yes.

Q: You are the 11th competitor to hold the GHC National Title. How do you feel you rank amongst the 10 previous GHC National Champions?

HAYATA: I deserve to be the number 1 champion ever.

Q: How do you respond to Jack Morris saying you cheated to win?

HAYATA: I don't know what you're talking about.

Q: Jack Morris has demanded a rematch, will you grant Jack Morris an opportunity to regain the title?

HAYATA: I'm not going to give it to him.

Q: Do you have an ambition to move up to heavyweight now that you have the GHC National Title?

HAYATA: No.

Q: How are you preparing for the NJPW Best of Super Jr tournament?

HAYATA: No need to prepare for BOSJ.

Q: Are there any specific BOSJ participants that you looking forward to competing against?

HAYATA: I'm not thinking about anything but winning.

Q: Does the GHC Jr Heavyweight Title still interest you?

HAYATA: It does.

Q: What are your plans for the rest of 2024?

HAYATA: I'll try various things. Not only pro wrestling.

Thank you HAYATA-san.

I mean we know he dude put out bikini calendars with 13 year old girls. He also talked about why Asuka doesn't fuck with rossy is likely the same reason Kenny doesn't.

I can't say I'm not surprised. This is Jimmy Savile levels of abuse in the entertainment industry. The boy band/idol industry in Japan is scummy.

So apparently Mox's real first defense of the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship will be on Dynamite this week versus Will Hobbs.

AEW already turning the prestigious IWGP title belt into just another belt in record time.

TK has noted NJPW has to sign off on IWGP matches in AEW.

unfortunately i haven't really felt too confident in the belt overall even though Naito's great (prayer circle for knees is over.) best thing mox can do for the belt is dip from AEW for a bit, lose it to a young'un.

Moxley will lose it back to Naito in the summer, otherwise I don't know what NJPW is thinking…
