Bink Video adds a new platform under NDA in its most recent devlog ( maybe PS5? )

Now here is a very exciting development IMO. A very strong indicator that PS5 (IMO) is coming in 18 months. I can't see any reason it would be later than this as PS4 was added 18 months before release on the same middleware...

It would be nice if any insiders could comment but will understand if they can't. For me this is the smoking gun for late 2019 at least for PS5.

Could also be that Google thing that Kotaku wrote about, would make more sense than PS5/XTwo since how often those did say that it's ways off for the next generation.

I don't see either a confirmation or a strong indicator there. Also, 18 months is not 2019. It's 2020.

A "secret NDA-ed platform" could be literally everything.

Far more likely to be Google's rumored console, or a switch revision. The new toys from Sony and Xbox won't be until November 2020

I guess the "Added a new secret NDA-ed platform" is implying that they're adding support to an hypothetical PS5.

It's kinda reaching, but I can kinda see where you're going. But could be some other platform.

Just because it was 18 months for PS4 doesn't mean it will be 18 months for PS5. Also, this nda-ed platform doesn't even need to be a PS5.

No. It's not. It's a generic reference to a platform that could be literally everything, based on the speculation that the same entity would have exactly the same update schedule from six years ago even assuming they're talking about PS5, which is just an assumption anyway.

It's no confirmation. It's not even rumor-worthy.

This is such a hard reach you'd think this guy was Luffy from One Piece. Also, while they have confirmed new consoles are on the way, didn't they essentially do so in a manner saying 2020 at the earliest for both Xbox and PlayStation?
