For people interested, a few days ago DC did a panel called The Many Shades of Heroism: DC Heroes Through the African-American Lens. Cress Williams is on the panel, along with the Black Lightning showrunners, where Salim Akil called himself "...probably the angriest Black man in Hollywood. I've got a lot of shit to say."

Thunder is cheaper to do than LighteningJust read DC Wiki about what his daughters can do..... I know we won't get all of it, but it looks promising and I'm excited to see what they will do with his daughters.

Need to find a place to watch this online. Does DC or ... WB? have their own online streaming service or is this a wait til netflix situation. Same with the animated Vixen thing.
I could have swore I read a quote awhile ago that Thunder and Lightning would be in the show.

That was way better then I was expecting, went from lukewarm to excited for the series.
Thanks for posting, will watch it tomorrow.

Wow Black Lightning Era(probably gotta be something shorter) I'm pretty disappointed in you guys. I wish I was here watching live with you guys cause no one made a reference to the fact that in Injustice 2 Black Lightning is a premier skin for Raiden so they just gonna have Raiden in his show being his mentor. As soon as I seen who Gambi was I saw it. Great episode and I love that it's black as fuck so I'm all the way in.
Oh man is this good?! I usually hate TV superhero shows-- pretty boring. Does this stand out at all?
Oh you're right! I tend to forget that Mortal Kombat: Annihilation exist but he did play Raiden in that.Wow Black Lightning Era(probably gotta be something shorter) I'm pretty disappointed in you guys. Damn, that was so good. Loved that look at his old costume.
Are we sure this isn't set on Earth-1? They did mention other superheroes.
"I say this with all due respect, but they're not really relevant to the show that we're doing," Akil said. "The great thing that Warner Bros. and CW allowed us to do was create our own world. We really wanted folk to get to know this family before we started branching out."
"As far as I know everyone's always wanted [Black Lightning to be separate]." Berlanti revealed. "Salim wants that. And the studio and the network want that. They're very different tonal shows. As people watch them. I'm not sure they could sort of ever quite imagine yet how we would be able to ever connect those things. It's always existed outside."
What? They film in Atlanta. And Riverdale looks pretty damn distinct from the other Vancouver shows.Yes, shooting in Toronto, as opposed to Vancouver is a huge boon to the show (or basically anywhere NOT Vancouver)
Every Vancouver show starts to look the same, not just location wise but the talent in Vancouver is very apparent and is running low on ideas
By that same token, Titans show should also be pretty decent
Damn, that was lit.
Except the costume. "I've been working on something new. Somethingbettertacky as fuck."
