Given how fast-moving this is could probably just update the title of the original thread.

I hope they hang him out to dry for missing a national security meeting on the murder of a UK citizen.

We're reaching the point at which the unicorn of Brexit is starting to look inescapably like a donkey with a turd for a horn, and no one wants to have to say it still looks pretty.

Doesn't seem fair that the biggest proponents of Brexit should be able to jump ship without seeing it through!

The british government recently signaled that they were willing to pursue a softer Brexit (one that doesn't completely break free from an economic arrangement, and one that doesn't disrupt the irish border). Davis and Johnson were hard brexiteers.

Was wondering if he was going to resign, or silently ignore that he had asked for a hard Brexit all along.

Out of curiosity: Which are the "top for ministries" referred in the tweet? Wasn't Davis responsible for a special office just for Brexit?

Yes. We supposedly have a department for exiting the EU. They weren't in the news much because they (Davis especially) spent the last two years doing nothing.

Because it's heading for a soft brexit. The Norway option in all but name.

In your opinion, does a softer brexit go against the spirit of what voters voted on in the referendum - or may they not care too much about the hard vs. soft approach?

Well, if May's government collapses, it'll be blamed on the 'soft brexit' approach.

A no deal outcome looks ever more likely.

So we can obviously tell this is jumping ship. What inspired them to jump ship? What's their official reasoning, specifically for Boris? What did they disagree about the nm10 policy that made them abandon their entire nationalistic approach?

Amazing how they can screw a country and just quit with no repercussions . Walk away with a cushy pension.
