do we have any idea if this will be the original SOTN or the PSP version with the rerecorded voice acting?
Ehhh seeing this get rated by the esrb honestly just kills my excitement. When the rumors claimed a collection, I was hoping for more than SotN and Rondo... There are so many good ones left behind, especially the gba/ds ones
Wouldn't be surprised if they make more collections. A GBA/DS collection along with the NES and 16 bit ones would be great. Of course, this is all dependent on how far Konami wants to go with this.
Hmm Season 2 airs on Oct. 26th and PGW starts on the 26th as well.

Well it is coming to PC too, but yeah, surprising there isn't least a PS4 version also.
It is releasing on steam as well but console wise it is only announced for switxh doe the time being
Especially after putting Simon Belmont in the new Smash Bros. I really don't think it will be exclusive. Why milk an old franchise just to stop halfway?

Remasters are an excellent opportunity for market research. Does the brand still have legs? If so, what incarnation of the franchise would work best?
Get all the data you can; release the remaster(s) on as many platforms as possible and see how well it sells - and where.
Any chance those handhelds Castlevania games on DS would ever come to PS4 or are they owned by Nintendo.
They are not owned by Nintendo, but would need some serious re-work to look good on any HD screen.
This would also explain the exclusivity. You just might be on to something...
On the other hand, I could see Konami simply allowing Nintendo to publish CV1-3, Super CV4, and CV Rebirth on Ninty's new online service at some point.

DS Screens are 256 × 192.
SoTN's resolution is 256x208.

They're both 4:3 (one via native resolution, the other via intended aspect ratio).
If this is exclusive I'll be so pissed and give Konami a huge fuck you. Bought Super Bomberman R on Xbox One last saturday and will request a refund (I only played like 20 minutes).
It would've been really smart to do a compilation of Dracula's Curse, Curse of Darkness, Rondo, and Symphony of the Night as a tie-in to the show.

But in any case...I heard that at least Hagihara is still at Konami. Is that true? What about Toshiharu Furukawa? If either one of those are still there, and wanted to work on a game, then they were ones speaking of the 1999 idea long before IGA was doing so by himself.

Does it? I haven't see any footage of the game running at 60fps. It ran at 30fps on Nintendo's Direct.
You can't get an accurate framerate from Direct footage. The fact sheet said 60fps.

I can't see Castlevania games being locked to one system and they really shouldn't be but whatever I am buying it on whatever it comes on, just give it!
Switch can do 60fps though, no reason to assume it won't be based off that. We'll find out soon enough either way.
