Either SDCC will drop him or he will drop SDCC.
EDIT: Good that Legendary is scorched earthing him.

People in show business are creeps, go figure. Hardwick was good at projecting the image of Mr nice nerd guy who made it. My boyfriend was starting to even look up to him, because he really did give good advice on his podcast and social media. Either he's a massive pretender, or the guy just has some dual personality problems.
I know of another case that might, in a couple of years time, hit too close to home for many of us... Related to a beloved showbiz person.
Dude had a lot of great advice, I read his The Nerdist Way book in 2012 and there's tons of actual helpful advice in there. I'm not defending him because of this at all btw, just at the time in my life when I read that book it certainly helped me out a lot.
Brought up the topic with a few people (one who was in an abusive relationship) and they wondered why she didn't just leave him. So I'm not sure what the general opinion on this story will be outside of the #MeToo people.
I've had (ex-)friends who, to the faces of my other friends, told them that they were either lying about their abuse or actually liked it.Brought up the topic with a few people (one who was in an abusive relationship) and they wondered why she didn't just leave him. Yeah. I'm personally really, really furious about this because it was a conversation I had with Chris that put me on the path I've been on for the past decade. He's literally the reason I am who I am today, and I don't know how to reconcile that right now. I'm so angry.

He went independent with the podcast a few months ago. Changed the name too. It'll probably change in format and lose all the other hosts, but it's still the one thing he gets to keep. And there it is. His podcast will probably be shut down within the week, too.

Oddly enough, so did I. He really plays the "charismatic nerd" role poorly and it was always abundantly clear that it's all a facade. I never expected him to be this vile but still, at least I know I could trust my instincts on this one.I have always had an irrational hatred for this guy. Turns out I'm just insightful.
I really, really hope Matt and Jonah cut ties. I love those two.He went independent with the podcast a few months ago. Changed the name too. It'll probably change in format and lose all the other hosts, but it's still the one thing he gets to keep.
You can accept the fact he gave you good advice and you use it and apply it on your current path.
You can also recognize he's a manipulative control freak and leave it at that. You're not wrong for taking his advice or having said advice help you.
Jonah just produced Rape Jokes, there's no way he can associate with this stuff.I really, really hope Matt and Jonah cut ties. I love those two.
I remember listening to that when it originally released and it is so uncomfortable.
Oh you have to be making that name up.
Someone get Kevin Pereira out of cryofreeze to take his place as the nerdy white dude who seems to host everything.

... You weren't kidding.
I don't remember specifically because the episode came out like 4ish? years ago, but it was just the entire atmosphere of the episode. Hardwick was geeking the fuck out over just being in the presence of Harrison and Harrison acted like uhh... Harrison Ford. Old and crotchety and not having any of it. Like he really didn't want to be there. It made for a very uncomfortable listen.
Yeah, we still haven't had anything really come out of those initial vague allegations.

Someone suggested Yvette Nicole Brown. That would be tremendous.
This is the Harrison Ford podcast:

Advice is what you interpret it to be. You don't owe who you are to anyone beyond the people who support you daily. Keep on keeping on.
