Hey there, can you confirm whether this patch made it into the CSH physical? I got a patch update from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 but wasn't sure if the versions were different between physical and digital. If it's not the same patch, what was fixed in the physical 1.0.1, and if it is, why wasn't this patch baked into the physical release?

Unfortunately we had a major miscommunication on Limited Run's end (nothing to do with Zeboyd) and the patch didn't make it onto the cart. The version numbers are the same between digital and physical. Patch notes here:

CSH Switch v1.0.1

Added version number to title screen
Fixed brief incorrect audio segment at the end of the initial load screen
Fixed soft-lock when choosing Game Over after losing certain battles
Re-added missing divider line in the System submenu
Fixed issue where the Ability menu occasionally emptied out
Fixed issue where collision would occasionally be non-functional after getting a Game Over and continuing
Fixed collision issues in numerous locations
Switching between scenes with scrolling backgrounds no longer occasionally shows the wrong background
Fixed issue where the controller applet would get stuck in a loop in certain conditions when undocking the console while playing with a wired controller

There is still going to be one more patch fixing minor and rare issues coming. Again we're really sorry we messed this up, luckily both patches fix relatively minor issues.

Bought this at release but hadn't touched it. Lately I've been craving an oldschool JRPG experience (extremely rare for me to play RPGs these days due to having less free time), so last night I decided to finally give this a try before bed. Ended up playing for almost four hours and staying up till 2 AM; safe to say I'm enjoying it. :)

I really dig the battle system. No random encounters is always welcome, but there are a number of other QoL improvements here I'm not used to that are super nice. In particular, Items being "single use per battle" rather than exhaustible removes the worry of whether I can afford to use something now or should save it for a potentially more difficult encounter, while still forcing me to be selective with *when* I use it. Going along with that, I like not having to deal with healing everyone and clearing out status effects every time I finish a fight. At this point in my life I'm all about less stress/tedious stuff and more just enjoying my time with something.

Oh, and this is small, but being able to rearrange where the various abilities appear in the action menu is appreciated. I like to go all attack abilities across the top row, then status effects and healing on the bottom. I've settled into a nice rhythm of initial buffs/debuffs (Sue's counter ability, wow) then planning ahead to use each character's best attacks when they hit Hyper mode.

One question - not sure I entirely get the tech dude's (haven't learned the characters' names yet :p) Enrage ability. I understand decreasing the damage dealt by the target enemy's area of effect attacks, but what's the bit about taunts?

You can do crazy broken stuff in CSH by the end of the game if you know what you're doing.

Even though I'm early on, I'm definitely getting the sense that this is the case. Need to get a better handle on everything and experiment more.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I've only died once thus far (playing on Heroine), to the Overseer who summons those robots that grab your party members and basically render them helpless until the robots are defeated. Ended up kind of caught off guard by that, and once I had all four members snatched, well, it was a quick game over. Fortunately managed to win my second time around, as I was able to utilize Stun effects to keep that from happening as often and focus more on depleting the Overseer's HP as quickly as possible.

OH
Currently on sale on the eshop for 6.74. Might have to double dip at that price. Backed the kickstarter but never got to play since my Vita has issues.

To anyone on the fence with the sale don't hesitate. The game is a love letter to classic SNES RPGs. Great visuals, great music and a fun story that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I'll also recommend this game. Grabbed it for like $10 a few months ago and finally got around to it. Well worth the price and then some. Great combat design and a lot of diverse playable characters.

I'm about 7 hours in
escaping through the casino on the second planet
and I'm loving it so far. What I didn't expect to enjoy so much is the encounter design; I'm playing on the second hardest difficulty and my party is getting wiped by some of the stronger mobs, the fun of this game though is that you can immediately retry with no penalty which encourages you really to engage and get to grips with the battle mechanics.

So as a result I've been swapping in abilities and trying different combinations of buffs and debuffs which is a rewarding sort of puzzle solving.

I'm at the beginning of Chapter 7

when you have to meet the Conoisseur

and you have to collect two things as requirements: a ticket to access the party and an apt dress. I secured the ticket, but can't manage the dress. I've seen in the shop that there is the tailor robot, and a nearby NPC that tells you someone has the free coupon for the dress, but I can't find it! Any help? I've also seen in a walkthrough that you can buy the dress, but when I speak to the robot, I can only answer that I don't need anything at the moment.

If anyone can help, that would be much appreciated, thanks!

If I remember correctly you can get a lucky coin from an NPC (It's been a while but I think the coin is in the small casino in New Rhomu). Trade that coin with another NPC for the coupon; iirc that NPC is just outside the casino in New Rhomu.

There's also an off chance you encountered a bug where the game flags you as having the dress already. If that's the case try going to the party with the ticket and see if they let you in anyway (talk to the bouncer)

I love the combat system so much. And the music is just phenomenal, the tracks are highly tailored to the game's feel and atmosphere... I just wish there were more, especially cause they are amazing 😉

The game itself is a little gem, I just wish there was a bit more story since it's a bit bothersome to have to talk to a million NPCs just to get anything out of it... and my other issue, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, is how useless credits are after only a few hours in, credits reward hold zero value because you have so much but so little to spend it on. Also there have been a couple times where I didn't enjoy at all the pathfinding and I felt a world map was missing, even just to remember where I had to go to be back on the surface of Rhomu for example-or whatever its name). All in all these are small issues, the whole thing is really well crafted and I love most if not all characters that will join your party. I sure am taking my time with it tho, it appealed me that on How Long to Beat it gave me 17 hours for "completionist" (I'm not skipping any battles) and yet I'm at hour 23 and only ending Chapter 7 now.

If you enjoy JRPGs, a very cool battle system with equipment management/skills and are down with the fact it'll be a shorter journey (which is a big plus in my book) then you should grab it.
Playing on Switch and it looks lovely.

IIRC, the other eye is in the north-east part of the dungeon. Be sure to save before grabbing it just in case. ;)
