shouldnt bother with Crysis 2 and 3. Get Warhead done and start an all new Crysis 2. The sequels were trash.

Not exactly subtle.

Crysis 2 and 3 on Switch would be the most visually impressive fps on the platform.

I love Crysis 2. I would love to be proven wrong by replaying a remaster though. kinda like how i now think Crysis 1 is trash after playing the remaster after a decade of defending the original game.

I'm a really big fan of Crysis 2. It's not that large open world of the first Crysis, but to me, it really felt more like a spiritual successor to Half Life 2 than almost any other FPS I've ever played. So that really hit with me. I've never gone back and replayed it since it was first released, but I did play it three times in a row straight through when it first came out, and I can count on one hand how many times I've ever done that with any game.

Crysis 2 is not only the best Crysis game, it's also the most technically impressive one.

I recently replayed it and it's an incredible FPS. The only thing that holds it back is the AI which is very bad, but other than that it's all around superb.

You're sure about that? I had both on Xbox 360 and they were hardly "impressive" considering the years they were released in. PC versions should be a tad better than console versions but these two were made with consoles in mind, I don't think neither were better than Crysis 1 PC.

Hopefully they give 2 the time it needs so it releases in good shape instead of rushing it out before it's ready like they did with the first remaster. I'll be buying it if they do a good job with it.

Crysis 2... technically impressive, but felt like a step back from the large environments from C1. Felt like it was pared back due to their desire to release it on X360 and PS3 though.

Day fucking one. One of the best FPS games ever made.

I really want to see that New York's atmosphere on PS5 with 4K & Ray Tracing.

I'd be very curious about a Crysis 3 remaster on next gen, given that I still see that game often used for benchmarks on the PC side, and tbh, it still looks fuckin gorgeous on the PC.

While a downgrade from Crysis 1, I actually think Crysis 2 was underrated when it came out. It does feel a lot more like typical AAA shooters of the era, but its level design and combat encounters were actually better than almost all of them.

And at the very least it makes sense to re-release Crysis 2 and 3 on consoles because of the massive gulf between their PC versions and their original console versions. I think the consoles versions (or at least Crysis 3 console) had settings below the lowest PC settings. Crysis 2 was one of the first stand-out DX11 games and represented an early point where PC really started to pull away from those consoles.

My real "next gen" moment of that era was when I hooked my PC up to a TV and played DX11 Crysis 2 at 60fps with a controller. It really did feel like an almost generational difference compared to typical PS3 games.

They answered their own tweet with the eyes, ... that is not how this works.

But a Crysis 2 remster makes sense after the Crysis remaster.

I was still in the beginning of the game but I still found it weird with the disconnect between the ending of Crysis 1 to the beginning of Crysis 2. Kinda like Doom 2016 to Doom Eternal.

Crysis 2 is still pretty good. If you love Roland Emmerich style disaster porn you'll like Crysis 2. It's just not as open ended as the first game.

The story starts to go way up its own ass here though. Even if you played the first game it can still be pretty confusing.

This video doesn't have any, but Crysis 3 on Xbox 360 had severe framerate drops, especially early in the game (that helicopter fight was really bad). Not sure how Switch remaster would handle that, but considering Crysis 1 remaster still had some framerate problems, I'm not hopeful about 3.

Answer to your question is: Doom 3. It had enough graphical improvements to call it a seventh generation game. And to top that it was 60 fps at native resolution.

Despite the flack it got (particularly on the old boards with comfy couch memes) this is a fucking great game. It's not Crysis 1 and really is not trying to be, but it's a great FPS in it's own right.

Underrated game. I hope its better than crysis remastered as it actually looked worse than the original in some aspects.

Crysis 2 with ray traced reflections yes.

Also helps that it's not a game hopelessly stuck in a single threaded world.

It's a pipe dream to hope they remove gamespy and just leave a generic server model be nice to play with friends again.

C3 and Warhead deserve attention and they really should be fixing up C1 remastered as well.

How are the finding time and teams to deal with all the games they do, I thought they were having financial problems.
