Sadly that isnt the case normally, though there are some Auxilary items that can provide a faster, more controlled descet as part of their main draw such as the Downward Boosters, which allow a more controlled descent when used, but also takes up a slot that could be used for other items such as extended ammo, additional recovery of Femto etc as other things that are available as Auxiliaries

Started this yesterday, been really wanting to dive into this since it was announced. It's really cool so far. Love that its literally Armored Core without saying it is.

Only done up to D rank but enjoying it and the Exploration missions are pretty tough but interesting ways to get boosted armor and weapons out of the gate if I get paired with better players. The online seems really finnicky though. Every other match seems to have connection issues or disconnects while loading the mission. And it is pretty laggy, at least when I play with non Japanese players.

Still though I'm digging it so far.

Ah OK, thank you!

Can you explain how the factory works? Not the secret factory on the Ice Cream shop, the regular factory.

For example, I choose the head I'm currently using and it needs as a base another head. The results will be an improved version of the piece I choose? Or a completely different head?

A completely different head. There might be cases where the new head feels like a direct upgrade, but that's not a rule, so if you're going to use a piece you really like as base (and have no dupes for it), check the stats of the new one beforehand to see if it's worth it.

So blueprint drops from co op bosses are random? Or do I have to destroy a weak point? Killed gunfort like 6 times and no drop...

anyone knows the drop rates?

I have it at 100%

I believe blueprint drops are random in terms of if they'll drop or not, but you need to destroy weak points to get them.

Are the first two collaboration DLCs available outside of Japan yet? If not, do we know if they're going to be released eventually? I had a quick look on the UK eShop and didn't see them.

Man the grind for boss blueprints is ridiculous.

I have done the Snatcher mission more than 50 times. That I counted was 40, but I've done more runs without counting. The mission is short I take around 50 seconds but after that many tries still no blueprint drop???

20% drop rate my ass.

Edit: I did it. Looked online and you gotta destroy his missile launcher that on the free mission NEVER appears for more than 10 seconds.

Tried online once and lo and behold the fucking thing is out all time shooting at me, and we are not in a tunnel anymore so I can fly freely. Didn't manage to destroy it before killing the boss.

On my second try a japanese dude joined and took the boss practically by himself, including destroying the launcher...blueprint drops.

I offered the guy the Law of Surprise on the chat, I think he didn't understand but I'm going to sleep, whatever I see first tomorrow is his, be it my wife, daughter, dog or breakfast.

Yeah the Snatcher's Riot Zero blueprint was notoriously fickle with me too, most of the others seem to actually be 20% random but the Snatcher's one really feels like a 5% chance haha

How does gear progression work? Is it Monster Hunter-like, with high and master rank? Will gears I collected now be obsolete later on(just got to rank B)?

I feel like that it doesn't progress like MH, as in the grim reaper or garuda I have are still good-to-use, that I should pick one based on my need, instead of straight up replacing xxx with xxx III, just because it has a larger number attached to the end. Just want confirmation/correction on that.

If my guess is right, should I be hunting for 3-slot version of everything(I assume that's the maximum amount of slot)?

I mainly want to know whether I can tackle some multiplayer missions solo now, or should I wait until I finished story.

Finished the game last night. Have to say I enjoyed it but mostly because of the game play. I had no idea what was going on in the story by the last third of the campaign. Also wasn't a fan of the spoken text box characterization dumps before and sometimes during missions.

Can definitely see why it got middling reviews on release but man it was a fun game. Writing up/thinking about my final thoughts for it on my blog atm.

Anyone got any advice on the first boss? I feel like the difficulty just shot way up. I keep running out of ammo when I get him down to 1/3 of its health. I try going in with a sword and that does the most damage, but it leaves me very vulnerable to that stupid shield that knocks you back.

Get under him and shoot up. Alternatively aim for the "kneecaps".

People can also open a PC performance thread and keep this one for general game discussion - it'll be easier for Switch players to provide help with "how do I beat the train escort mission?" and many others classic questions too.

Man 2019 feels retroactively like the "heh we got them to buy the switch versions" year. No announcement about Dragon Quest Builders 2 and this game coming to PC leaves me feeling burned. I would have totally waited for both to come to PC.

As the game is now fairly cheap to get where I live (20€), I'm seriously considering to finally get the game. I know that you can completely customize the controls. Is it possible to remap the controls in a way so that you don't need to use L3/R3 at all?

It's been a while since I played it but I don't think so. It's just too complex. You can put the stuff you use rarely on it at least.

There are modifier keys you can use, such as hold this button and then these other buttons are now modified with other inputs. Takes some fiddling, but can open up some options.

I think I use maybe 1 stick-click input, but I haven't played in 6+ months.

Anyone know how well this has done (switch and pc) and if there could potentially be a sequel? Would love for them to go deeper into the MonHun or PSO-style online mission structure. I feel I saw 95% of the content within the first couple weeks.

The bump of this thread made me realize I never finished the game. Not sure why I stopped because I found the game to be really fun.
I wonder if the online on Switch is still active? Think I'm going to jump in tonight and do a few missions.

I always wonder what amkes devs do these updates years after the game is out with just a few new items in it unless it's a byproduct of an ongoing development of a new game anyway.

Sorry for the bump but since the game is free with Epic I gave it a try and is it a known issue that the PC version somehow locks itself to 100fps? I have a 144hz monitor and no matter what I do the game never exceeds 100-102 fps o.o I have a RTX 3070 and a 5800x so the hardware shouldn't be a problem and Google fails me here :/

Okay I wish I was joking but after I added the Epic version as a Non Steam Game and launch it through Steam I get 140fps, without Steam I get that 100fps lock 🤔 😅
