Are there haters for this film? Seems universally admired whenever it's brought up these days.
Watched it for the first time a couple years ago
Made a ton more sense to me after I watched Renegade Cut's analysis of it:
The cool thing about this movie is that there are several scenes you could be referring to.That one scene still creeps me out. I could never really just be ready for it.
I watched it when I was way too young and all I remember was that it was dumb AF, stupid, waste of time trash.
I don't know that I'll ever rewatch it...
As a person who worked at Blockbuster when this dropped on DVD I can say empathically yes.Are there haters for this film? Seems universally admired whenever it's brought up these days.
He has a name. And it's 'Diner Hobo'The scene with the tramp scared the shit out of me. Great film but I prefer Inland Empire.
'This DVD is broken, or malfunctioning, I can't skip chapters! Can I get a refund??'As a person who worked at Blockbuster when this dropped on DVD I can say empathically yes.
Definitely an amazing film.
I adored Lost Highway, and Inland Empire was also really good (if meandering), but I think Mulholland Drive is the best of his bizarre psycho-sexual dramas.
Dude is nuts, and also brilliant.
This movie is incredibly good. The audition scene just sucks you in.
You really need to see the movie and tone leading up to it for it to land as effectively as it should. The contrast hits hard.
How do you all rank his movies? My personal preference from most to least liked:
I considered it, but chose to stick to his recent works.
I thought it was fantastic and pretty atypical. It's just overlong and a bit muddled. But I think Inland Empire is a big waste of time. It's a narrow line.
