I guess this has already been asked, but is this the same Wolverine from the Logan movie or a different version?
The trailer heavily implies it's a Wolverine from a different universe as the TVA say that he 'let his world down' and I think Deadpool says how 'his world went to shit.'

My guess would be that whatever's happened in that Wolverine's universe is what's going to happen in Deadpool's.

I wanted to offer some thoughts and I apologize if people already discussed this.

1) I think there's a moderate chance that they've purposely filmed some shots without Wolverine's cowl so that they can make that reveal something cool for the movie and not given away in an early trailer. For example, the slow-mo shot in front of Liefields could easily be shot twice, so the version with the cowl goes in the movie.

Besides, they want people to see Hugh Jackman in the trailers since his face is so recognizable.

2) If they wanted the plot to go really meta, they might lean into the idea that the "world" he failed was really the whole Fox X-Men universe. Hugh Jackman arguably carried a lot of those movies, and the X-Men universe needs Wolverine to survive. By hanging up the claws so to speak, everyone else fades away or gets trapped in the void. Cassandra Nova rallies all the villains to destroy the 616 universe (or maybe conquer it) to ensure their survival, so the TVA recruits Deadpool as the only other megastar of the X-Men universe to convince Wolverine to team up, restore the popularity of the X-Men universe and save everyone they love.

Obviously there will still be some kind of incursion event where the two universes merge, but we all know that Marvel is trying to bring all of the fan/audience favorites under one roof. They might be thinking, "well we can create some really convoluted plot that espouses grand themes about the universe and basically everything we've been doing up till now, OR we can leverage the Deadpool fourth-wall angle and just make this something that people can enjoy, with all of laughter and fan service that comes with it."

Other option: Paradox (who recruited Deadpool) is just a big ole' liar trying to use Deadpool to some other ends but because he's Deadpool, he ends up fixing stuff instead.

Also, I would discard the universe merging idea when the trailer already shows how they are handling it: All of the "garbage" from the other non-MCU stuff is being spat out into the end of time to be eaten by Alioth (who is in the trailer) as per Loki. This helps establish that the older non-MCU connected stuff (prior to this) all happened and can be pulled in for the future during Secret Wars if Marvel wants to.

Hard to glean a lot from that trailer but nice to see Jackman back. I hope its not just No Way Home with Family Guy humor.

The Spain trailer, that has even more profanities than the english one (normal for us lol), ends the trailer with PEC instead of LFG.
So intead of let fucking go they actually put the spanish meme Por El Culo
That trailer was a mastarclass of localization, and its so great so many spanish people are acknowledging how good the translation and dub was on it. It seems like a whole marketing move middlefinger by Disney Spain (and finally shwoing the actual localized logo with Lobezno instead of Wolverine, which the first trailer had, which got a whole campagin on twitter for it to be changed to how its now) to VOS only lovers that dont want dubbed movies to exist and a certain group of countries that hate our versions but live rent free in their heads. They are using all the goodwill Sigourney Weaver created at the Goya awards in favour of Spain dubs (her spanish voice actress is also blind al in deadpool), and a shitty comedian being clowned at a talk show for hating dubs, uniting the whole country in a hate wave agaisnt him. Im glad most people are finally pushing back against the modernized hate some internet denizens have agaisnt the spain dubs (you know who you are, so I dont need to mention you, enjoy what you have and stop shitting on things not made for you), and thats some companies were using to promote their shit like Netflix, becuase they thought people hating on the internet were the majority of the audience.

And hope this new positvity around it actually make for the better labour laws, better pay for spanish voice actorts and zero use of AI in the future.

Also im really excited about the movie, love the frist 2 deadpool movies, and this one also seems ton of fun. It also seems is not showing anything from the middle and end of the movie, so thats great.

So the Ant Man head is definitely a Brotherhood base. I can clearly see Azazel and Lady Deathstrike standing in front of it. Possibly Toad as well?

Does anybody think the Wolverine with the yellow long sleeves and Wolverine without the long sleeves are two different variants? It doesn't look like he cut the yellow sleeves off.

Probably not unlikely given the setting. There are rumors about that the Wolverine in the casino with his back behind is another variant played by someone else.

This is still my long-term guess. Paradox is playing on Deadpool's deep-seeded desire to be a hero to lure him into a trap so he can prune him and dump him at the end of time so he won't be a risk to the universe any longer. And Deadpool won't like being stabbed in the back like that.

I definitely think Paradox is up to something. Expecting a swerve.

Few nitpicks aside, I am excited for this. I liked both Deadpool movies.

I think this is definitely the case. This trailer had 2 main objectives: make it clear this shit is rated R, and make it clear the wolverine you know and love is in it. You do that by saying fuck every 2 seconds, and showing Hugh Jackman's face unobstructed.

They're saving the cowl for the movie itself. It will be a hype moment.

Given how much stuff is rumored to be in the movie, I'm amazed at how restrained this trailer is. Like, this trailer has arguably less plot than the teaser.

I could see that being why there's not a lot of big action happening in the trailer. The trailers for the Fox movies jumped from location to location and basically spoiled something from every single scene, but a majority of the shots from this one seem to take place in the wasteland with the 20th Century Fox logo.

Considering that, I don't yet share the concern of some other posters about the action isn't living up to the hype yet. People might not be expecting much from Shawn Levy but that reload scene from the last teaser is one of the spicier instantly iconic cuts the MCU has had in a while.

He probably didn't kill Jean in X-Men 3

Cautiously optimistic, if nothing else it looks like a crowd pleaser. Hugh is definitely bringing his Wolverine A-Game once again.

Trailer really overdid it with the "fucks," I think the last two at the end would have been perfect without the rest, as-is it felt super forced.

Hugh Jackman is an Aussie and there's a word we can't say here that he'd be saying a lot instead if he was allowed to speak like an Aussie haha

I just realized wolverines claws don't cut through wades blades. In the trailer it shows wade getting new swords so maybe he got an upgrade

There was cinema con footage explaining.

Wade gets Adimantiun swords and new guns (presumably with adimantiun bullets).

Which also explains why he's pretty confident about being able to blow Logan's head off at the beginning of the trailer.

This makes Logan's confidence/suicidal egging more stress-inducing.

Was really hoping to see the mask. Here's hoping that maskless Wolverine is a fake out and those scenes shown will be masked in the release of the film.

There is plenty of valid crap to complain about with the MCU, but you don't think it is ridiculous to go into a thread and see a bunch of people claiming they think a thing looks bad/dumb because of things that are unfounded

It's valid for people to not like the director's previous work and presume it will affect this one.

It's valid for people to not discern any compelling story from 2 trailers.

It's valid for people to worry about a modern cape movie leaning on references and making the audience become the Leo Dicaprio meme, instead of having a good story and characters.

It's valid for people to form an opinion on a trailer of "curated scenes". That's the whole damn purpose of a trailer. It's pitching the idea of the movie, and if that pitch didn't land for some, that's fine. Maybe they'll like the final product on streaming. There's no "gotcha" waiting for them, the trailer just failed to accomplish its goal in their eyes.

All I'm seeing here (as an MCU fan myself) is an extremely defensive fan base trying to stifle any dissenting opinion to create an echo chamber.
