If you're underleveled when you die it will say in the top right on the death screen "recommended level 320."So decided to boot destiny 2, but having a bit of a hard time with the story missions. Atm level 315, and on the second mission (EDZ sigh).. Am I doing something wrong? Am I underleveled
It's an event in a public space, if they don't want to do it, kicking them out of the game isn't the answer. I appreciate that we all want to do everything as soon as possible, but if we're acting selfishly and making other player's experience of the game worse, that's bad for the game and the community. Bungie have apparently stated that they intend EP to be doable by a fireteam of three high-level players. If that's not possible yet maybe the answer is to wait until you're better equipped.
Yeah wait it out then. Stop acting like finishing the actively gives you or anyone else in your group the ok to do anything to get that done. No matter whomever you run over.
We're talking about a company that put out Destiny 2 built around Eververse. Obviously they're not averse to shitty behavior. They'd probably throw PXG a party and then hire him. But seriously, Bungie constantly touts the fact fact that there's no matchmaking for hard content because they dont want players to have a bad experience and then they release a new game mode that is seemingly built to ensure players have a terrible experience. And then gamers point fingers at other gamers for finding ways around Bungie's shitty setup.Pretty disgusting.
Bungie should keep an eye on such behavior and ban if necessary.
you know what would help with EPs ... designate a date and time window(s) where all Destiny players participate in it .. increases the chance of 7+ player sessions.
We do ask people to leave. Sometimes they do.
I'm 384. I know players at 385. No way you can beat the final boss with 3 players, under normal circumstances. I'm sure the super try hard streamers will for pure spectacle at some point, with some ridiculous, ultra precise strat. But beyond that, it's not really something that is possible. You need more people, even at max light.
The vast majority of the time, those randoms aren't even doing EP or have interest in doing it. If a session is running, we back out and find a new instance. It's not like want to fuck people over on purpose. If someone is booted, they can easily fly back to Mars and continue doing patrols, getting sleeper nodes, or whatever they were doing. It's not like they're in a strike or story mission. At worst, they'll have to wait another 30 seconds to touch down on Mars again and continue on with their business. So, are they really at an inconvenience? Yeah, in principle it's lame. Everyone agrees it is.
Bungie needs a better solution. But I'm not A) waiting a month or MONTHS to play content that is available right now (content I paid for at that) and B) waiting, God knows how long, to finally get paired with a random group that is actually interested and capable of bestobe EP. That just won't happen.
I'm not going to apologise for wanting to play the game. I'm at the level to play to experience end game activities. It's not my fault Bungie didn't think things through properly or understands the basic needs of their players.
You know, I saw you and Chaf playing the other night, was thinking about jumping into the party chat to at least say hi to everyone. Raids we ran back then during the days of Oryx were pretty fun.Going to take my sweet ass time .. "I'm a 346 that plays like a 364"

You're assuming A) they even want to participate in EP at all B) they are the only random player in the area and C) they are properly geared and leveled for the activity.
Fireteams are limited to three players. If there's already four randoms, plus myself, that only leaves room for four more players. I'd have to hope that the randoms would actually bother to respond to my messages, then get in my chat, allow my friends to join and then convince them to do EP with us. And on top of that, again, that is also assuming they are at a reasonable level and properly geared, if we actually want to finish the activity.
Also, there are up to eight other people who need to get in the same instance. Not just two. It's such a clusterfuck, honestly.
Creating an MMO, or MMO-lite, without LFG is also inexcusable. Creating a game mode that requires 9 players to complete but only allowing fireteams of 3 to group up is inexcusable. Bungie's disdain for their player base is inexcusable....and yes, what PXG is doing is inexcusable. I find it hard to fault him and his team though since they're just adapting to the shitty framework Bungie implemented.Yeah, no. That isn't an excuse for inviting people into a group and then booting them. And Eververse (a bad business practice) is not the same thing as what PXG said he does (a person being purposefully mean and toxic to another person).
Bungie needs to correct this problem by allowing in-game matchmaking/LFG for all activities finally. But what he admitting to doing is inexcusable.
Admittedly, we ran into a random yesterday trying to the EP with us. My brother joined his fireteam since it was set to open and we were able to get a total of 6 players to attempt the waves. Random player was cool with it, though he was too low level. We ended up getting to wave... 5 I think? No real rewards as far as I could see, but it was chaotic and I had fun overall. No booting anyone on our end (lol), but I'm not sure how people are realistically expected to do this with the given time limit, especially when it seems like there's so few players around when we're running this. I just hope that a few weeks from now, when people are more suitably leveled up, that there will be people interested in engaging in the activity.
You join them and make them make you the fireteam leader.
Then you boot them.
Like a true hero.
EP is supposed to be done at max light level. It's not an activity that's supposed to raise your PL, it's an activity supposed to give you unique loot you can't get anywhere else.Bungie needs to allow fireteams of 6 for EP. The problem is that by the time they implement this change the community will have already reached max light level making it moot.
I see PXG is still incredibly toxic to the community.
Jesus Christ, why would you even admit to being a jerk like that?
You don't know what toxic actually is. Getting yelled at, screamed at, cursed at, in raids or trials. People who do that, give the game a baf name. Happens all day, every day, unfortunately. Thats what hurts the community.

Yup. Everything always seems insurmountable in the beginning. People will figure things out, we'll make it through and wonder how we ever struggled, aside from the LL requirement. I just hope this activity has legs, because from what I've played it's really fun (and somewhat performance destroying).DEZ!!!!! Months from now when everyone is 385, we'll be bitching that EP is too easy. Grind to get to 385 (like the way Destiny has always been). Conquer said activity with the recommended light level .. move on to the next.
Maybe Bungie shouldn't allow players of all levels to grief everyone else by starting EP and running away then. If they built it to be a 380-385 activity, dont let anyone below that level start the encounter.EP is supposed to be done at max light level. You booting people from an instance like that is just as toxic if not more. You don't know what toxic actually is. Getting yelled at, screamed at, cursed at, in raids or trials is toxic. I did. That's why I replied.
I mean, yes.
But also, you, doing that. And you, being rude to people right here in Destiny threads, when you tell them they "don't know what they're talking about" as if you're the end all almighty Destiny player.
Both toxic things can exist.
In all seriousness I have no issues with you. I don't know what chord I struck with you though.
LMAOYou booting people from an instance like that is just as toxic if not more.
Naw man, you kicked someone from a random patrol instance, so you're just as bad (if not worse!) as griefers shouting the n-word over the mic.I. AM. NOT. THE. ONE. BOOTING. PLAYERS. FROM. THE. INSTANCE.
I. HAVE. ONLY. DONE. IT. ONCE. AND. ONLY. ONCE. .SINCE HAVE. REFUSED. TO. DO. IT. AGAIN.
I'm merely reporting and discussing the issue. Geez...So put down your goddn pitchforks. Calm down. Hell, if weren't for me, y'all wouldn't be aware it was even a thing. I actually mentioned it a few days ago too.
I want this fixed ASAP. But in the meantime, I'll do EP with my friends in whatever way I can. I personally won't take part in booting players. I don't like it. I don't want that responsibility. I'm with all of you in that it's a shitty thing. I don't know how I can be clearer about that.
I apologize than for what I said. I agree with you it's a shitty thing to happen.I. AM. NOT. THE. ONE. BOOTING. PLAYERS. FROM. THE. INSTANCE.

No, PXG is right about Escalation protocol. It needs a rethinking.I see PXG is still incredibly toxic to the community.
