is it worth speccing Hendrik for swords to use Drunstan's Sword or nah? Free aggro seems nice and it would complete the cosplay, but damn do 1H swords have lame skills

Gyrfalcon Slash is legit but other than that it's axes for me all day everyday.is it worth speccing Hendrik for swords to use Drunstan's Sword or nah? Free aggro seems nice and it would complete the cosplay, but damn do 1H swords have lame skills
I had already specced Hero for Greatswords and didn't want anyone getting hand me downs. He specializes in shields too and you can't use shields with Greatswords.I didn't bother. I wanted to use axes but great swords just did so much damage.
Is there a way to farm the seeds?Unfortunately, you can't unlock every skill through leveling. Even if you reach Level 99 you'll still have skills you can't get. The solution is to use Seeds of Skill. You'll need 73 total to max out every character at Level 99 (as a single seed gives you 1 skill point).

Yes, characters all have a limit of what they can carry. It's worth spreading consumables that cure status effects, revive the dead and restore MP around, particularly to the physical attackers. Some equipment can also be used as an item in battle even if it isn't equipped, so if you do have stuff like that (a staff that casts a spell, or a sword that removes a status effect for example) it's worth keeping in a characters personal item list rather than the item or equipment bags.Quick question about item management, this is my first time playing a DQ/jrpg game so I'm still getting used to all the systems.
Is there a limit for how many items your character can carry? Should I move over all items that can be used in battles such as healing etc to my character bag whenever possible.
Seems strange to me to have two seperate bags and having to transfer between the two, but then I suppose it makes you think tactically about what to take into battle 🤔

So I just died the first time, about a third into the game I'd say (?). It was right after playing through a dungeon, where I did quite a bit of grinding (for exp) and then died in the surprisingly tough boss fight... Only to find out that I had the option to go to the last save (setting me a few hours back) or the last autosave (which I found out was the very beginning of the dungeon)... all exp and gold lost...
Wow, that was demotivating and something I am definitely not used to anymore in 2019. Should have paid attention to this harsh autosave system...
But I am reading online that there's some option about loosing money but keeping the EXP? Did I miss some option after the game over...?
Going back to your last manual save cuts money in half but doesn't cost experience
Yeah that confused me at first too, but 'last save' actually takes you back to the location of your last manual save with all other progress/items/etc. intact minus half your money, while 'last autosave' actually just reloads the save state from the autosave.Ahhhh, thanks for the clarification... that's a weird system, isn't it? Well will definitely save much more often from now on. That difficulty spike came unexpectedly :-/

There are a few dungeons with a convenient autosave spot near the boss that you can take advantage of but otherwise 'last save' tends to be the better option if it's been awhile.
Well thanks again... that messaging on the game over screen was definitely not very clear on that (or I have really not paid attention). But this will make the game much more enjoyable going forward.
Is there some trick to casino RNG? I've looked at numerous claims about "oh, it's stacked in your favor, just keep doing it" that advise using certain slot machines, but in an hour or more of trying, got very little in the way of wins on the slots.
So for Slime Quest slots there is a bunny girl you can talk to downstairs next to them that will tell you what the odds are for each machine. I didn't pay too much attention to it, just went to one she said was good. If you rest at an inn/come back the odds will change if there aren't any good ones. For standard slots I'm not sure there is a trick to it, if one machine is better than the other. Is there some trick to casino RNG? Lol, some of these bosses are bullshit. The one in Octogonia charmed me and hit me 4x in a row. Also stole all my mp.
Finally hit the jackpot in the casino. What are some good rewards to buy?
I'm talking act 2. Already have the Platinum greatsword. I just did the quest for the jackpot and now I have 1 million tokens. What should I spend it on?In act 1 if you can get it early enough the platinum greatword (or w/e it was called) will let the Hero stomp for most of the act. IMO act 2 has the better items to get early.

No, there is timing involved in that game, but the way you can time things is dependent on your luck. The game will only allow you to line up certain things at specific points; normally, you can only ever get a Replay or a Plum. See my earlier post for more details:The idea behing slime quest is great, too bad is 100% random, no matter how much they tell you can actually stop the spins. A guy tried to force the PC version to stop the spins where he wanted by going much slower and he said the spin did whatever it wanted.
After playing enough Slime Quest, I think I have a good idea about how it all works, outside of a couple things. I'll just jot down my thoughts below:
I think that's all the important points I wanted to make. There are a few more things that I'm still not sure about (why sometimes the slots go dark, or what the Dracky formations mean). Overall, I find the game to be the slowest of the bunch, but the Autoplay makes it also the most convenient and it is incredibly charming.
- Slime Quest is not completely random and does require the player to time its slots. Fortunately, the pattern is not too hard to memorize.
- That said, you will not be able to roll 777 every time even with perfect timing. There are a lot of caveats in place that limit your possible rolls until a special thing happens. Under normal circumstances, I believe it is only possible to roll 3 Plums or 3 Replays. 3 Watermelons may be possible too, but it's not worth going for over the Plums.
- A special event that can affect what you roll is finding a treasure chest. You may think that if you roll well you'll get something out of the chest, but it's actually the other way around. This is especially apparent since the contents of the chest are determined with the second slot you stop, not the third.
- Another very important thing to look out for are the glow effects on the slots. That tells you it is possible to roll that combination in that play. For example, a green glow opens up a Watermelon win, and a red glow opens up a Cherry win. You can time when to stop the slots by paying attention to when BAR passes by.
- Speaking of BAR, I believe the white glow refers to being able to roll 3 BARs, but I have yet to confirm that.
- And then there's the golden glow for the Bells, which appears very rarely but can lead to the biggest individual payout these machines offer. The amount you win is dependent on the number of Orbs you have collected, up to a maximum of 6. The Orbs can be randomly found in treasure chests and are more likely to show up in Prime Slime Time.
- Let's talk about Slime Time. You enter into this mode by rolling 777s, but the way you can get into it varies. It could be through Amalgoomate (seemingly random outcomes), Gooniversity (also random), defeating 50 enemies, or by just finding a Bonus.
- When you get prompted to roll 777, it is highly recommended to do so in an X formation, as that increases your payout and seemingly makes it more likely for the 7s to turn gold, allowing you into Prime Slime Time (which to me just seems like a better version of the regular one, with more chances for good outcomes). How likely the 7s turn golden is dependent on the machine.
- Choosing the right machine is very important! You want a machine that hands out bonuses like candy. If they have a high Orb count to go along with it, then that's even better, but it's not all that necessary.
- The Autoplay for this game works great for multitasking, but don't expect the slots to be stopped at good spots most the time. You definitely want to take control if you notice a golden glow.

Its pretty easy, but to make it incredibly easy you need both pep and pip pops.
Start with Rab, Jade, Sylavando, Erik. Use your pep pop so all 4 are powered up. Swap hero for Rab. Use Hero's ability to pep up. Use the combo ability Haulellujah. Now, swap Erik out for Rab. Have hero use the ability to pep up again, and have Jade use the Pip pop on herself. Now, use Electro Light. Hopefully 3 metal monsters appear. Have Rab use his Pep ability that puts enemies to sleep.
Now just use abilities like critical claim, hatchet man, or lightning thrust to kill the sleeping metal monsters. I went from 60-82 in maybe an hour and a half? Depends on how often electro light gave me machines instead of metals. I just reset on those situations.
Get Hero, Jade, Sylvando and Rab pepped up. Switch each character out of your lineup when they get pepped up. Then head to a campsite and save your game. Take all four into battle and use the pep power Electro Light. If you get shafted and don't get metal slimes reload. Next use Rabs pep power to attempt to force all the slimes to sleep. After that just use your best abilities to try and crit the buggers. :)

I dont know why I am having so much trouble in Act 3.
With the Black Dragon. He keeps wiping my team as soon as the battle starts or somehow always gets to paralyze right away or goes for serena too fast. I didnt have trouble until him for some reason. I dont even remember having this much trouble when playing on pc when it first came out. All my team is well equipped too.
I have +3 resist rings on all my characters, but Im guessing more resist accessories will help more? Even Serena had two rings and still got paralyzed first lol. Usually really random when retrying that fight.Forge/wear a lot of paralysis resisting gear. That immediately solved the issue for me.
