4K 60 fps and the orchestra mod is pretty great on pc. 2D mode is super cool tho

So is the 2D mode the complete 3DS version or is it just a gimmick? How different are the 3DS and PS4/PC versions anyways?

Hmm, I haven't started playing it on PS4. Depending on how the graphics hold up I might just wait for the Switch version. But if it looks like crap no thank you.

Hell yeah!!! It's Dragon Quest, there's no way I wouldn't have gotten the PS4 version to play it last year. And I would double dip the Switch version even if it didn't have extra features. I always support DQ, it's my favorite game series of all time.
Square didn't take switch owners for fools, that's nice, it seems to be a really good port.

Reminder that Switch owners have had to wait nearly a year for this while PS4/PC players were playing it.
2D seems pointless to me so I don't give a shit there, but the orchestral music is a serious fuck you to previous buyers of the game. Hope SE cops massive heat if the current version doesn't get updated music at the very least.

Probably my favorite game released last year on PS4. Excited for everyone who get to play it for the first time—it's an awesome game!
And now Switch owners are getting more content while PS/PC owners get nothing. Neither were fair but at least Switch is getting the game. @ me when PS4/PC gets these extras
I think I prefer the nicer visuals of the PS4 version over orchestral music honestly. The main problem of DQXI's soundtrack is that the music is just mediocre and the loops too short, not that it wasn't orchestral (imo).
