I actually messaged a mod in the last angry joe thread about me creating a thread to discuss youtubers and toxicity in the industry and how it could possibly be used to shape Era with regards to establishing lists of people that we won't platform here.
The came back and said they took it to the other mods like I asked but I never heard back...
What did SkillUp do? Someone in another thread recommended the channel recently, and I just started watching a couple of videos, but I'll unsubscribe. I Googled SkillUp controversy but I didn't see anything.
I completely agree.
I've tried asking myself as I find his videos extremely well done and thought out. I seriously don't get it and I can't find anything on Google. I think his videos would lead to a lot better video game discourse than Dunkeys too, which is a shame.

I took a quick look at it and it seems like a title-bait gaming news channel but I definitely remember seeing some questionable content before. Someone else might be able to clarify what actually happened with skillup.

This isn't really fair. The first video posted in this thread was from 2013 which was a very long time ago when the climate online was very different so I wasn't going to judge him on that. The second one is from 2017 which was not a climate when hate speech was as accepted yet he seems very comfortable with it. Casual homophobia should bother you so save the bullshit cancel culture rhetoric for reddit.

I mean you got people in here completely glossing over it because he makes "funny" videos...
I came into this thread thinking banning dunkey topics from the forum would be a little much, but when one side here is bringing up examples of him using slurs and all the other side is doing in response is saying "lulz cancel culture" then maybe he should be banned.

I really enjoy dunkey's content and with that stuff being posted with no apparent apology or accounting from dunkey himself, I gotta agree he probably should go.
Hope so too. It's about time we get a statement from the mod team regarding his content on this website.
Did Sony ever relent on XBL for Minecraft or is that still a no go? Microsoft isn't going to put Halo on PS5 for obvious reasons, but would Sony even allow them to if it'd require a Xbox account?
Of course they wouldn't. The Xbox account is the problem. Halo is not the problem. Sony would take Halo in a second. The Xbox account is the problem. Game Pass is the problem. Sony would be foolish to allow those things on their platform.
Turns out Sony did allow the requirement of an Xbox account for crossplay on Minecraft for the PS4. So yeah Sony would take Halo, but MS isn't going to give it.
