is there a full guide for the beyblade minigame? There's a lot of NPC everywhere without indications, and the ones i found it's impossible to beat them yet, too high level tops...
and i'm sure i can't avoid it cause it will be the only way to recruit one or two character?
If you are determined to play through the Beigoma quest line right away, you'll need to get some tops from particular monster drops. Hraesvelgr in Redthroat Ridge and at least one of Rabbit Mage/Titan Slug in Abandoned Mine or Wyvern on the map outside the castle (preferably two, since it gives you better odds of winning 2 out of 3 matches in the first quest match to win another top). Hraesvelgr is the one I could most consistently win with initially (I forgot to get the Wyvern before doing the quest battles, so I don't know if it's better or not than the other three 2* monster drops). Look at the element and main attribute of the top (attack/magic/guard/balance) to determine good match ups. I don't know for sure, but it seems like attack > magic > guard > attack. And I assume elements are the same as in battles, so water > fire > wind > earth > water. I haven't really gleaned anything about if where you drop your top matters for anything. In my experience, even if it has better type match ups, a 1* top is not gonna be good against a 2*.
The next main thing is if you and your opponent activate your boosts at roughly the same time, you enter a clash where you mash a button and do a bunch of damage if you win. Doing this as much as possible is key for overpowering the opponent even if your tops aren't actually as good as theirs. Even with all that, it still took me numerous times to beat the first few quest battles, because it honestly seems like there's still some RNG involved. I could comfortably win one match, and then lose the same match up by a lot the next time. At least you can hold B/O to skip the pre/post battle scenes...
But if that all sounds awful to you, just wait until you progress the story further and you can get 3* tops from monster drops. The first ones available drop from
Pawn Demons in the Proving Grounds and the
Seed Conquerer from the deeper part of Dappled Forest (I just named the monsters and where they're at, but spoilered in case that bothers anyone).
Sorry for the double post but I gotta say this. There are several posts in this thread making complaints about how the game never explains anything to you, such as opening up the map or how party formation in battles work. Have any of you checked out the HELP menu? Quite sure when you first go into the World Map for the very first time there is a tutorial pop-up and and one of the pages showing how to open the map is explained to you. Hell almost every major topic in games mechanics is all in the HELP menu. From Battle Formation, to Rune-Lens, Elemental and Weapon Attributes. The game basically comes with it's own damn built-in manual. Just press the Triangle-equivalent button on your controller and scroll over to the HELP option in the main menu folks.
The Help menu doesn't tell you shit about how Beigoma mechanics work.
