Damn. 60K players on Fallout 4 is insane, especially considering the game was released almost 10 years ago. The game hadn't reached such a player count since 2016.

The game has surpassed Cyberpunk, Dragon's Dogma, Elden Ring, and many others this week-end. It's not impossible for it to reach 100K players tomorrow.

Too bad Microsoft doesn't make Game Pass numbers public. I wouldn't be surprised if there were as many players on that platform

100K CCU for all Fallout games is not that much tbh..

Wticher 3 got 100K CCU or more just due to the witcher tv series and that was one witcher game.

Fallout 4 along did 474K CCU in 2015...

I played like 3 hours of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 each and hated it, even I want to give it another shot with how great the amazon series is. Too bad I don't have a dime to spend on games atm, even if they're extremely discounted on steam right now.

The only thing that held me back from wanting to start a brand new New Vegas save after watching the TV show is that I'm too lazy to get an extensive mod list going.

It's good to see people inspired to try out some of the good Fallout games because of the show. The first two games and New Vegas are absolute masterpieces.

Yeah I'm in the Fallout mood big time. Played a bit of New Vegas earlier in the week, might fire up FO76 this weekend.

Incidentally, what's the consensus on Fallout Tactics, it being inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics makes me want to play that one.

F76 might be even higher considering the MS Store version is free with Prime.

You can play FO3 and FONV on Amazon Luna as well if you're a prime sub btw

It sucks that there's not gonna be a new mainline game for damn near a decade, unless it's being secretly worked on as we speak, which is doubtful.

It's a missed opportunity for MS. Imagine Fallout 5 dropping around the time season 2 of the show releases in a couple years. Would be hype af

Guess Bethesda achieved what Sony failed with TLOU.
TLOU jumped up sales rankings massively when the show came out. F4 and F76 also jumped to the top downloaded games, so it looks like they have had the same effect. Good timing for the res and performance modes to come out along with a sale as well.

Going to be +1 on PS5 when the update lands.

Really can't wait to explore the world again - it has been so long I can remember next to nothing.

Yeah same it's in a better state than I thought possible.

And apparently all expansions were free DLC.

I got their sub that's 50% off to get the costumes, lots of items etc.. and what not, then cancelled sub. It was like 7 bucks.

There's nothing like the vibes you get from Fallout.

Especially so if you dig the old radio songs that made me appreciate songs from the 40's and during the times when Fallout 3 was originally released made me connect with my grandfather like I never did previously.

Miss him. I'll always have fallout to remember him… he used to love listening to all those old songs.

I did too.

Yeah I started downloading 76 on my series X after the first 2 episodes of the show lol.

I've only played 3 before and loved but never came back to the series.

I know some people prefer the first because it was more...focused, maybe?

But I agree, the second takes all the great stuff from 1 and expands and goes absolutely nuts with it. It's fantastic.
2 is also much more balanced. You can tell they made the SPECIAL system last minute. Some skills in fallout like outdoorsmen were useless in 1 but very useful in 2.

Other little things like skills costing more points after certain thresholds or some perks actually possible to get due to actually getting enough XP to get past level ~13-15 made the experience just better overall.

Yeah it runs with no issues

Assuming you have the demanding recommended settings, of course

Processor: Pentium 90Mhz or faster
Memory: 16 MB
Graphics: SVGA
DirectX®: Any DirectX
Hard Drive: 565 MB

Played 3 and loved it, new Vegas had an boring opening so never finished it. Bought 4 a while ago, just waiting for the updated patch. Excited to give 4 a real shot here soon.

Would love to know the number in new sales the tv show generated.

I'm downloading Fallout 76 on PC Gamepass as I type this. I already have Fallout 4 GOTY on Steam but only spent a few hours with it years ago and then it went to the backlog never to be touched again because I didn't enjoy it. I'll give it another shot when the updated version releases in a couple of weeks.

I do wonder what Fallout would look like today if they'd been able to use GURPS.

I mean, you can get every Fallout game you want from 1 buck to 7,50 bucks at max. You can't get the Last of Us games for that.
I imagine it's also kind of helps that the show doesn't just tell the same story again but is it's own thing. It certainly got me a lot more interested in that world again
