The matches between European teams have mostly disappointed so far. Spain - Portugal being the exceptions. Let's all hope that changes, starting tomorrow.

Nah, we created more today than any game in this WC. We just couldn't shoot on target or Courtouis did great catch.
That doesn't matter. Belgium wasn't afraid of Brazil at any moment besides for the last 5 minutes or so, they just let Brazil shot from away.

Brazil didn't do anything in the first half and had terrible attack - Neymar and Jesus were awful.

Again, this is quarterfinals against Belgium, a team that almost went out against Japan and won because of a shitty goalkeeper. Our team played bad. Watch France steamroll Belgium next match.

Brazil were far too predicable when attacking in the second half. They didn't use the flanks nearly enough and get crosses into the centre. Most of their attacks were based on going through the centre of the Belgium defence.

I guess it's to be expected a European-based WC to morph into the Euro Cup in the final phase. No non-European (ie. South American) team has ever won the WC in Europe.

Oh well. This WC will now be infinitely more boring. Expect games like Croatia v. Denmark from here on out.

All the people saying Brazil lost cause they couldn't finish. Did you not see the 2 or 3 sitters Belgium would have had if they didnt screw up the last pass in the 2nd half? It could've been 4-1 easily

I think you are overthinking this. The Bosman Ruling made it so that Latin America loses its best players really early, so Latin American teams are forced to call players from abroad instead of the local leagues. This affects in terms of travel time when players have to meet for national team duty.

This World Cup is in Europe, 1-2 hours time zone difference from where all these players are playing. This excuse is ridiculous.

As for travelling, all the professional players from all the teams are travelling a hell lot during a year.

At least you didn't lose 7-1 this time.
I wish. Marcelo and Fernandinho AGAIN in the team losing a WC even after the 7-1. No one learned anything, we're doomed as a country. Uruguay 2.0, we will get quarters and semifinals and "be happy because we did well enough, at least we were good in the past".

People excusing this team are part of the problem.
