Who would have guess Switch would get Hulu and Funimation before Netflix?

I can't wait for the Crackle app.

That's awesome given their strong relationship with Crunchyroll let's hope that's not far behind! I need my anime fix and.....

and........!
watching anime on the go is perfect for the Switch

Can finally quit using the PS4 for watching anime on the big screen.

Just in time for new MHA
I'm still kinda salty that MHA S3's first episode will be a bit delayed for the dub. At least Episode 2 will come out on the same day as the subbed version.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it something like Crunchyroll?
More-or-less, though Funimation's service has access to more English dubs (& Funimation has some of the best dubs in the anime industry).

It's like Crunchyroll but only with Funimation licensed anime (which Crunchyroll has got a good chunk of now after the recent parternship)
Yup, said partnership includes Funimation includes doing the dub for various anime found on Crunchyroll on their service while CR gets the subbed version (though there are instances where Funimation gets both subbed & dubbed versions of the anime in question, like My Hero Academia & Dragon Ball Super).

I guess this will be useless to me and many others.

I can't even view the funimation website.

...the wait for a Switch app I can actually use continues...

Pretty sure that first episode is just a recap anyway.

Guessing Crunchyroll will be putting one out too before long then, what with the partnership.

It's good to hear more media apps are coming, though it's odd to not see Netflix or iPlayer yet given how ubiquitous those usually are.

In case you're curious, here's Funimation's SimulDub library for Spring 2018.
Spring2018_KeyVisual-1.jpg

In terms of what's new...
  • Same-Day SimulDub (hours after the JP broadcast, at least for the first few episodes)
    • My Hero Academia - Season 3 (already announced)
      • Starts soon
    • Tokyo Ghoul:re
      • Already started!
  • Regular SimulDub (a few weeks after the JP broadcast)
    • Steins;Gate 0
    • High School DxD HERO
    • Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory
    • Star Blazers: Spaceship Battleship Yamato 2202
    • Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-
    • Space Battleship Tiramisu
    • Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These
    • Golden Kamuy
    • Dances with the Dragons
Of course, the likes of Darling in the FranXX, Black Clover, & Cardcaptor Sakura will continue with their ongoing SimulDub runs.

Your move Crunchyroll.
And freaking Netflix and YouTube, like come on.
The ironic thing is that Funimation is now wholly owned by Sony.

Given Funimation & Crunchyroll's partnership, I'd imagine that CR won't be too far behind in terms of getting their app on the Switch.

Hopefully it'll let me control it with one joy con for when I'm watching Highschool DxD.
