Nope, only for play anywhere titles as before. If you want pc you either need to upgrade to Gamepass Ultimate, or buy Gamepass for PC.
Why would it kill them? Unless you believe that Microsoft will offer the newer EA/Ubisoft titles.
Buy one year of Gold right now and convert it to Ultimate for 1€/$ if you haven't already used the introductory offer

What's the difference between standard and ultimate? I haven't really been following this, but that price is crazy.

No, it's also non play anywhere games, like Hellblade, Shenmue, Metro, etc.
The codes on CD Keys are worldwide though I agree they should sort it so everyone can have it through normal methods.
Basically if you buy a year of live and then convert it to Game Pass Ultimate, you get a year of Game Pass Ultimate

Pretty nice list, although only like 2 games that I don't already own and want to play.
You are wrong, I literally just paid $5.99 for this through the beta app.
It can't be the math does not add up until they have several millions of subscribers to pay only for the first party stuff alone. Microsoft however with this prices are looking to reach those numbers and become the number one subscription by throwing money at reaching those numbers. The question is only how much are they willing to sacrifice to get there and if they ever will.
